Madeline turned on her heel to head out, already strategizing the next step.
If Kai refused to see her alone, then she will have to make it more official, right? There is no way that he can avoid a meeting if there was a problem or something that needed him to actually oversee and approve (or reject) as the matter would not be within the powers of the Team that is assigned to it.
But what can she do in order to make it big enough to have him step in, yet not make it seem like she or her Team was incompetent?
Zayn watched her go, not caring for the fact that she didn't even acknowledge him when she went by. He was, after all, just 'the help' - even though being the personal assistant to Kai was not just 'the help'.
To Madeline, it was the same. If you're not the Boss, you're 'the help'.
Zayn put her out of his mind as she was cannon-fodder anyway. He didn't think she would be able to succeed in seducing Kai but she was just too blind to see it.
