Lianne lay on her bed after putting down the phone.
Hopefully, this would be enough to ensure that Kai wouldn't get any backlash from the incident.
Kai may have thought it was enough to humiliate Celine to submission, but Lianne didn't want to leave anything to chance. She had seen enough of what her mother had gone through to take things for granted.
She would not view those people after Kai as 'normal' people who would make rational decisions.
They could be someone completely delusional and crazy, and if they weren't dealt with right now, they may come back in the future to bite them in the butt. Celine didn't deserve death but she definitely needed help.
The medical institution Celine was sent to was another branch of MIB, of course.
