章 61: Chaos Becomes Order

The Xuhans were shocked by the fall of their elders. They were even more shocked by who had done it. The military that they were cheering on only seconds before were the ones that had shot them. Tailor was now ready to take his role.

Tailor lept to the top of the staircase standing over the dead bodies of their hallowed councilmen striking a fearful image, one that would resonate in minds for years to come. As the Councils blood trickled down the stairs, Tailor seemed to scream at the top of his lungs, and the chattering crowd became silent.

Tailor was a menacing figure before his procedure but after he had turned into a supremely intimidating figure. The front of the crowd looked at him slightly scared and wary of what he might do next. The back of the crowd was silent because of the raw scream they heard unnerved them.

Jake, still in the form of Thomas, looked on with indifference.

after a moment of silence Tailor began to talk to the crowd his voice enhanced by his armored suit to reach the entire congregation, "the Council has fallen."

After a brief moment of silence, his somber voice continued, "I know some of you may think we have murdered these Elders, but the truth is that they murdered themselves. The second they beset themselves against the Parthian. They tried to convince their followers and free thinkers alike that we the Xuhan people were able to defeat this threat, but they misled us. The Council as we knew it would have been the death of our great people but they hold sway no longer. Now some of you might think that the situation is hopeless that with council dead and the main fleet to far away there is no way to win, but you have all overlooked one crucial fact. The Parthian came here to lift us out of the muck to make us prosper in this galaxy why should we refuse such a benevolent helper."

The people began to converse with each other until one man stood out from the crowd. This man had green eyes and pale skin with freckles a trait favored by the Xuhan. "I refuse to take a master we Xuhan are free people. People of democracy should only use weapons as a deterrent."

The man continued refusing not to be heard, "Why do you think we developed shield worlds instead of empires that span galaxies. It is not in our nature to rule; that is why refused the Parthian in the first place. We are keepers of knowledge how could we possi........."

A soldier shot the man in the head even before he could finish his tirade. The crowd reacted violently before being silenced once again by Tailor.

Tailor screamed to the crowd, "We are no longer an absolute democracy. We are a theocracy, and I am its ruler. The Xuhans of old didn't understand they believed that by keeping their heads down and staying out of trouble, we could thrive in this universe. Calvis is proof this is not the case we are nothing before the Parthian's power, and so now I instate new religion worship to the god of chaos at the order of Calvis Vax Ibex of the blood rim star cluster."

Calvis, who was currently pondering the mysteries of Chaos, began to understand more deeply the importance of Chaos mixed with order. Calvis discovered that Chaos becomes order and order becomes Chaos, and it cycles between these two, but an element was missing though. Calvis knew that even though something was missing, he had stepped on the right path.
