Beyond the edges of the forest lays the battlefield which all have prepared for.
The farm field is littered with destruction, suits and bodies. Red, khaki and blue are the new colors of what was once a beautiful farm field, which has now become the stage of a tragic war.
The air which would normally be fresh and smell of nature's wonders is now merely a canvas for the stench of death and the cries of the dying, the mere sense of it will make you want to run.
Chaos and order, such is the battlefield. It will only stop if one side is completely wiped out, so much hatred and malice.
Ariawyn, had already taken her face share of demons before rushing to the castle. The demons are happy to die, was one thing she noted, they allowed themselves death.
Inside the empty castle of the demon king, it seemed as if all souls had been evaluated. She had suspected but the demon king had long moved the rest of the race, such may have been their solution.
"Xeron?" Ariawyn said softly, "Our Brother?" The brother they share from both their parents affairs and the brother that defected to the demon race.
"He's safe." Said the errie voice. He starling youth that looked more human then he did last time showed himself.
"You…." Ariawyn was shocked, her shoulders dropped. "I see, you sent them beyond this world. Didn't you"
He smiled. "The possibilities of other worlds isn't unknown to you."
"I had an idea that other possibilities exist."
"What do you know old friend?"
"A lot but mostly speculation?"
"Of What?" Xeron said curiously. Ariawyn admitted to herself that it was sad to see the demon king so weak. Demon's are former humans who had been embedded with intense magical energy.
"I speculate that over ten thousand years ago, the world changed, by something unnatural. But, it was unnatural enough that it cause many races to make drastic measures to stay alive."
Xeron widen his eyes in realization of something but stayed quiet.
"For the Elves the Xeron tree, has always been our guardian. But,it has done more then that. It's magical properties poured into our lands, our constant bountiful harvest, the water which we drink is pour into the lands. Our Race has grown dependent on that. However, I think such is like the other races.
Like the Holy Lake of the Goddess for the Humans
The Oceane Triangle for the merfolks.
And something within in the demon castle that allowed to you send the rest of your race to another world, other then this one. "
"I see, I only had one piece." The demon king scoffed, he looked at her seriously. "Do you think my answer is right?"
"No, I would never Condone Massacre of any race even my own no matter how much I want to protect my race. But, if their must be a sacrifice I would rather it be my own life." For a moment she paused, as she got her bow ready. "Yes, I would rather it be mine"
Xeron smiled and with a dark glint. "I supposed we wasted enough for talking"
Her gaze sharpened, "I'm coming after you with full force and intent to kill. I won't hold back."
"Likewise" Xeron responded back.
Both took towards each other at fast speed, Ariawyn had shoot multiple light arrows. Before she split her bow apart turning them into daggers. She clashed with Xeron's reinforced demon arm before backing off to allows her arrows to take a hit at him.
She was disappointed as she reconnects her bow and shoot more arrows at him.
The battle between the two escalated and damages started appearing outside of the demon castle. Drawing attention to an almost finished battle on the outside.
