章 27: The New Year's Eve
As the year was about to end and the new year was approaching, it seemed last year's resolution could be reused for this new year's resolution. Bia was writing again the same new year's resolution on her diary and was thinking what was wrong with her for not able to do those few things. She just needed to do more exercise, go to bed before 11pm and cut down midnight snacks, sounded easy but it was hard for Bia. She sighed again for the hundredth time. She wasn't aware when Akira came into her bedroom and sat beside her.
"Honey, you should add 'love Akira more' in your list," Akira said.
"Oh, you are home, what time is it?"
Akira gave her a peck on her lips and said, "Yes, my darling.. it's 7.30 pm and I've been sitting here for about fifteen minutes."
"Huh.. why didn't you say anything? 7.30? and we are going to get killed by Kim if we reach there late.. It took Kim a month to get those tickets for that party." Bia pinched Akira's hand, jumped of the bed, dashed for the bathroom and bang the door pretty loud.
Akira shook his head and walked towards bathroom door then he said, "Do you need my help, honey.. I can scrub your back, I'm good at it."
"You wish.." Bia shouted.
"Well.. it's your lost for rejecting my offer. Hahaha.. I'll wait for you downstairs, honey." Akira left the room, headed to the kitchen to grab something to eat. He didn't eat much and kind of skip his lunch today. Lucky for him to find some leftovers in the fridge and he quickly put the food in the microwave before he devoured them like a hungry wolf. After he finished eating, he heard Bia were calling him from her room.
"Akira, can you help me, please.."
"Ok, coming.." then Akira made his way to Bia's room.
There she was, looking so gorgeous in red and black saree. She took his breath away.
"Akira.. don't just stand there like a statue. Help me tie the strings on my blouse." Bia was trying to tie them but failed many times.
"Ok, Madam," Akira walked around her and help her to tie them. When his eyes drawn to her smooth neck, his fingers couldn't stop from lingering on her back. Next, his lips landed on her neck and started to kiss her neck softly.
Bia was a little shocked when Akira kissed her neck, she had been trying to hold herself for a while since Akira's fingers lingered a little too long on her back and with that kiss she let out a soft moan.
Hearing the moan from Bia, made Akira moved his kiss to her left ear then he slipped one of his hand under her saree, caress her tummy and he pulled her closer to him with her back facing him. His other hand went under her blouse and fondling there for long time. All of this was a torture for Bia.
"Akira.." Bia couldn't continue her words because Akira just untied her blouse and let the blouse fell on the floor.
"Hmm?"
"The party.. we are going.." Before she could finish her sentence, Akira turned her around and sealed her lips with his, he only let go of her lips when they need the air to breathe.
Suddenly, Akira bent down and carried Bia to the bed. The next second he locked the bedroom door and dialed Kim's number with Bia's phone.
"Kim, we are only coming before the fireworks," with that Akira just ended the call. Before Bia could calmed herself down, Akira was back and started to torture her again by kissing her whole body.
They had never gone as far as stripping their clothes off before, not even a single thread on them at the moment. Akira's self control was always good but this new year's eve he couldn't put off the fire in him and he didn't think the cold shower would work like before. He's the only one knew how many cold shower he took when he slept beside Bia and only did the sleeping without funny business.
He wanted her badly and he could see that Bia felt the same so he wouldn't stop unless she asked him to.
Bia lost track of the time, she didn't know how long Akira had been torturing her and she couldn't even lift up her eyes. When she finally could open her eyes, she said, "Akira, please.."
Bia's words made Akira stopped and he couldn't believe her so he asked, "Are you sure, honey?"
"hmm.. hmm.." Bia answered him weakly.
"Honey, open your eyes and look at me," with that they lost in their world and they became one.
"I love you honey," that's the last word Bia heard before she drifted off to sleep.
Akira got up and headed to the bathroom, took a shower then brought the wet towel to wipe Bia's body. It was 10.30pm and they had an hour to rest before they go to the party so he set the alarm and joined Bia into the slumber.

Half an hour before the fireworks.
The party was on the beach and everyone who attended the party had to wear traditional outfits. Everyone looked stunning and they had been there since 8pm except the cruel couple as Kim referred them as. They ditched her at the last minute and would join her before midnight, how heartless.
When Kim answered the call from Akira, Grant was beside her and he heard every words, well.. blame the loud music for making her turned on the speakerphone. Before the call Kim was bored and no one to talk to because only Grant and her came without partner. Tasha, Grant's cousin was supposed to be his partner but she ditched him just before they entered the party because of the call from the hospital she worked at.
Once Grant heard Akira's voice, he drank his wine in one go and didn't stop since then.
"Grant, stop drinking will you," Kim pulled away the glass of wine from his hand.
"I'm not drunk even if I want to," Grant smiled at Kim and took back his wine.
"Since when, you drink and smoke?" Kim asked Grant curiously.
"Since I left her, the alcohol helped me from running back to her back then and it's still helping me till now." Grant gazed at the vast sea, people could see the sorrow in his eyes.
"For what you did to Bia, I hate you but as your childhood friend, I advise you to move on," Kim said.
"I can't and I won't Kim, I loved her then, I love her now and I will only love her in the future," Grant took another shot.
"You and her are impossible," Kim sighed.
"I wont give up, Kim."
"Well.. they'll be here any minutes now so I better find another table. Nice chat bro.." Kim walked away from Grant's table to find an empty table.
"Ok.. thanks Kim".
At the entrance, Akira and Bia walked in together. Their appearance made people turned their eyes on them. Bia looked gorgeous and sexy while Akira looked more attractive and alluring than before.
"Don't let go of me, my back is going to break," Bia was scolding Akira in a very low voice that only the two of them could hear.
"I would never let you go honey, I'll be gentle next time," Akira whispered in Bia's ears and made Bia's face as red as tomato so as the result, Bia pinched him on his waist.
"Honey, you need to wait till we get home," again he whispered in her ears.
"Shut up Akira!"
"Will do, my lady," Akira said that whilst pulling out the chair for Bia once they reached at Kim's table. And Kim was pretending to ignore them.
"Kim.. I'm so so so sorry.. I'll make it up to you," Bia was pleading to Kim.
"Yes, Kim.. we are really really sorry," Akira said.
"Whatever.. Akira, off you go, Bia is mine now. Go find someone to play with." Kim said.
"Alright ladies, I'll be out of your sight now," Akira gave Bia a kiss and left to join a group of friends.
"Ouch, my poor eyes.. to much public display of affection." Kim complained.
Then Kim brought her chair closer to Bia and asked, "Did you do it? Did you end your life as a nun. Hmmm? I want details."
"The fireworks is about to start." Bia said.
"Don't change the topic here, B." Then they saw the fireworks were decorating the night sky.
"They are beautiful, Kim," Bia exclaimed and Kim just nodded her head.
"Not as beautiful as you, honey. Happy New Year, honey." Akira was back at Bia's side before they knew it.
"Happy New Year Akira."
Not far from where Bia's table was, someone had been looking at them since they entered the party. That someone was angry, jealous, frustrated and really really hopeless. With a sad smile he said, " Happy New Year my little daisy".
