Steve fed up. He threw his phone to the bed. He stroked his hair to the back. Stressful thinking about his loved one. He worked so heart to win his lover's heart, he did everything as told, but their relationship seemed just like when they were just friend. He missed his sweetheart. After so many things he did, all he received was just being ignored. Is this relationship over now?
Steve tried to control his anger. He's extremely mad, yet extremely missed his lover. He scrolled their photos in his phone. When he about to throw his phone to the mirror, the phone vibrates. 1 SMS is received. He saw the name. He tapped on it. Finally, the long waiting is over.
'1 February 2020 13:06:13 - Hey baby. Sorry, I'm actually sick these days. Well...you know, so many things going on in Korea now. Sorry, darling'
Liar. Steve pissed. He saw an insta story of their mutual friends a few days ago. They got drunk together and having a blast despite of coronavirus spike in South Korea. How dare this beautiful creature lied to him? But he didn't want to mention about it. Afraid he will lose this person again. Afterall, he deeply in love with his lover. He dialled the number. The owner picked up.
"Hey, are you okay?" Steve asked. Playing the same game as his lover.
"I'm a bit good now, but still not feeling that well. Sorry, I didn't contact you for more than half month. Thank God it's not a coronavirus. I got too busy and overworked. That's why I'm sick now," Steve's lover sounds weak.
Steve disbelief. He knew it was just an acting. But he still cared about his baby. He said, "I wish I can fly there and meet you. Why don't you come here? There is nothing happens here yet". He suggested.
"Oh, it's okay. Next time if I need you I'll come and see you there," Steve's lover refused the idea.
Steve sighed. Can't believed what he just heard. Only if need him? He got hurt and became mad. He asked irritatingly, "Why you only want to meet me when you need me? Are we doing business? Or do you hate me?"
"No, Steve, no. I don't hate you. I just think that I need to save my money," Steve's lover clarified.
"If you don't hate me, tell me you love me," Steve asked.
7 seconds without response enough to tell him that there is no love between them. Only him has the love in his heart. His lover is not there for him. He felt down. He felt pathetic. He hopes a miracle happens so that his lover love him more than his love.
"Are you mad?" the lover's asked.
Steve sounded so down when he asked, "Why can't you tell me that you love me? I love you! What can't you say that? You don't have me, but I'm so full of you. I'm going crazy now".
His lover responded, "I don't know why you're so sensitive right now. We just met each other a few months ago. Don't push me. I'm sick now. Do you want to get caught again?". The lover got annoyed.
Both of them sighed. It's not like they met each other for so long. The last time they met each other was just for a day during his trip to Korea. Steve really want his lover to stop acting like this and love him sincerely. He love his lover so much and can't leave without one. But he doesn't want to hurt his lover's heart and try to give everything he has to his lover. He afraid it will lead to a breakup. He was not ready for a breakup. He just want a mutual love between them. But he got the feeling their relationship is not going anywhere although they're just a couple for more than a year.
"I saw your messages. Tell me what you want," Steve's lover said half heartedly.
Steve hesitated to tell because he knew all his lover wanted to know is not him. But he answered out of love and care. He has the right to know. Plus, he didn't want to take full responsibility if anything happens later. He believed this string is the only thing that tied his lover from leaving him. He answered, "I've done our plan. I already did my job, darling".
"Really? How was it? What are their expressions?" the lover asked excitedly.
Steve smirked. He knew his lover is more interested in BTS than him. But he can imagine his lover's exciting face currently. He continued, "Well...from what my friend told, they just looked dumb because they can't catch what they tried to say. Grammy is a huge event. Since we can't messed up with their performance, we at least need to mess up with their emotions".
Steve's lover asked, "Then why their performance was still great? Can't you see in YouTube? Their performance got the highest views compared to other artists performances. Are you kidding me?" Suddenly his lover became mad.
Steve defended, "Baby, I can't messed up with their stage. It was a collaboration stage. Not BTS alone. Our aims is just BTS. The other artists are innocent. And...the security is tight. It's hard to install people in Grammy to do this job. Each and every artists got their people to watch everything. Their fans are huge too. This is the least I can do. Mess up with their emotions. Let me tell you, it's obvious they are not feeling good that day. Which means we successfully hurting them from the inside".
His lover laughed, "I thought your skill is quite good. But you can only messed up with their emotions only? Lol. Did you see their emotions. Full of happiness. They even did Vlive that day. Useless. You can't do anything without me, is it? I'm busy in Seoul. I even have people here to work for me. If you can't do anything for me, what's more left in this relationship? I can't trust you doing a proper job independently. Wait, what? You ask me to love you, but you didn't do anything that can make me love you even more!".
"Baby, I told you messing up with their emotions are good method to affect their performance. I went to all their concerts before just to make them feeling insecure. I showed myself several times in front of them just to give psychological pressure. Do you think it is easy not to get caught? Do you think this method is not good?" Steve defended himself. To him, instead on injuring BTS, giving them psychological operation like this is better as it will affect their performance and mental.
The lover laughed, "Are you an idiot? None of your tactics are working. Except when you put Jin on your bed. But it's not really a good show to watch. I told you to do more than just a drug. You should do more erotic move with him and let it get recorded. But you refused. You don't even sleep with him!"
"How can I sleep with him when you were there? How can I do those nonsense in front of you?!" Steve shouted. How could he sleep with Jin when he didn't even sleep with his lover yet? Why do he need to show those explicit things between Jin and him to his lover? He knew his lover have a grudge on Jin, that's why he willing to help. But not to the extend he wants to sell his body. It's enough to trap Jin and make the entire BTS members in trouble. Even his involvement is enough. He doesn't get it why his sweetheart working so hard to end BTS career to the extend paying other people to commit a crime.
"I told you that night that I am okay. I'm open to it. You don't have to worry about me. But you ignored my words. All you did was arguing me, chasing me and went back right before BTS searched Jin. You left him alone the entire night. It was me who put the drug, and it was me who played with the media, and it was me who messing around with BTS. All you did was just play with emotions and psychological that resulted nothing as for now. Can you stop playing like a loser, please?" the lover arguing with Steve.
"I know I'm no good. But crime is a crime. I want to protect you and I know can protect you with my power. If you don't want to get caught, you must do it carefully. I don't want you to take revenge alone. I have a huge influence here and there. You can used me. Remember, you got both revenge worked in and out of your country because of me. The money you paid your backup and gangsters to hit them was my money. Although I don't mind you using it, don't take advantage of my love towards you," Steve firmed.
Steve knew his weakness is love. He is so loyal and generous. This is why he often being taken advantage. But he doesn't mind. His businesses and investments are huge, and he's too low profile. Born from a rich family is a blessing. His owned businesses besides than the family one are doing very well. He never knew what it feels like run out of money. This is why he only obsessed with love. He enjoys being the weak one in the relationship. Because he knew people like him is very rare in this world. A person who can do everything, a great lover, generous and emphatic. If his love is big enough, even commit a crime together can affect nothing to him. That's why he always used any crime committed by his ex lovers as a way to tie them down to his feet. Most of his ex lovers ended up either in jail, or in a ruined life with debt, or killed themselves after broke up. He can be scary. The luckiest was when he decided to leave that his ex for good, which is his first love. Family opposed their relationship which he can't do anything since he was so young. His ex died due to car accidents the moment he looked for his ex again. Now, he has everything under his name. All he needs was just a lover who can give him love just like his first love.
Steve has a few partners before this. The only similarities between his current lover and exes are they always take advantage of him and commit a crime together. However, only this current lover is different. The way this person approach love is different. This person is quite conservative and treated him like a best friend when they first met each other. It was very comfortable talking to his lover since they can be honest and understand each other. They argued a lot due to their differences, but it strangely resolved quickly. His lover never, not even once, wanting a breakup after a huge fight, very honest with him about their life story, not afraid of him even after knowing what kind of person he is, and often touched his heart even when they are never physically involved yet. His current lover know how to play with his emotions which make him craved for more love. This is why he rather out of money instead of out of love.
After hearing what Steve felt and think what he had contributed for the revenge, his lover's intonation changed to soft, "Hurm. Darling, you don't have to think like I'm taking advantage on you. Although it may seem like one, but I never ask you to give me money. You always give me money everytime you missed me. I can't reject it anymore. Maybe you can stop transfer me money if you think I taking advantage on you? Actually, I really appreciate everything you did for me. You know, I had a really hard times in the past because of BTS and you know about that right? I probably never tell you this but I'm so thankful for meeting you. I'm sorry for getting mad. I just expecting even more from you since I know how capable you are. Remember you managed to kick BTS out of the nominees list for Grammys when BTS almost nominated? You managed to instill some thoughts to people involved with the academy for the nomination which was so impressive. That's why I expected even more from you this time. I'm sorry if you think I'm a bad person".
Steve in his thoughts speechless hearing the pleasant words from his lover. He's forgiving heart melted way too easily. He was out of love for half a month, he didn't want to fight any longer. He said, "Okay, I forgive you. But let me reminds you, baby. BTS was almost nominated. We are lucky that there are many people produced a good music too so the competition was really tight. It's just lucky that there are people in the academy who share the same thoughts as me about BTS and we did really well in influencing other people. But I can't guarantee what will happen next year".
"Okay, I'll note on this. Thank you for reminding me and doing all those things for me. I got sensitive because I'm still not feeling well," his lover said.
Steve smiled. He asked, "So what's our next plan?"
