章 15: "Let's Go On A Date"
As I worked on organizing some information from documents a fellow co-worker came up to my desk.
"Hi can I help-" I began to say.
The lady placed a folded piece of paper in the palm of my hand.
"One of the bosses asked me to make sure you get this," the lady said and then smiled. She then walked away.
I looked at the folded peice of fancy-like paper and tilted my head sideways. I slowly opened the paper and read it. What I saw before my eyes shocked me.

"Let's go on a date,
We're going to be married soon and this would be a great chance to get to know each other more. It benefits us both. Pick anywhere and I'll take you. You get whatever you want and I get to spend time with such a cute girl. It's a win-win."

I couldn't help but be a little annoyed after reading this. A date? With him? Seriously? How would that even go?
I couldn't help but think about how a date with Minami would even play out. Would he take me to a bar? A club? What a jerk.
I rolled my eyes as I got back to work.
By the time it was lunch time people were taking their breaks and eating in the lunch room. I had to finish up some drafts before going due to, taking my time to read that crazy note from Minami.
I was one of the few people to still be at their desk when I finally got up to stretch and go to the lunch room.
I rolled my shoulders back and forth as I was making the walk to the cafeteria when someone yanked me by my wrist.
I was yanked into a empty hallway and before I could think of what just happened I was pinned against the wall.
"What the-" I began to say then I saw the person who grabbed me.
It was Minami!
"What the hell are you doing?!" I said with my voice accidentally raising. He covered my mouth with one of his hands. "Don't be so loud okay?" he said.
I nodded still pinned to the wall. He removed his hand from my mouth.
"Did you get my note?" He asked a smirk coming across his face.
"I did and I don't what games your playing at but I want no part of it," I said.
"Come on, don't be like that it'll be fun," Minami said.
"Like it would be fun getting dragged to some club or bar with you!" I said with my annoyance rising in my voice.
Minami's face went completely straight.
"Do you really think I'm just the type of guy to take girl's to bars and clubs?" He asked now staring directly in my eyes.
I felt my face change into speechlessness.
The air felt still. Everything quiet. As he looked into my eyes and I looked back at him.
A shiver ran down my back.
