章 1: Prologue: The Beginning
I had just walked in the door, getting home from work for the weekend, when my cell phone rang. "Seoul?" I said, looking at the caller ID. I normally didn't answer international calls because they were usually spam, but I did enter to win tickets to a BTS concert awhile back, so I decided to answer this time.
"Hello?" I said into the phone. "Hi, is this Fay Ellis?" Someone on the other end of the call asked. "This is she." I replied. "I'm calling on behalf of Big Hit Entertainment and BTS to let you know you've won tickets to the concert in Los Angeles, as well as a private meet and greet." The guy on the phone explained.
I was stunned. Never in my life did I think I would win the tickets when I entered. "Are you there?" He asked when I didn't say anything. "Oh, yes, sorry. Uh, wow!" I exclaimed, words all jumbled. He chuckled at my reaction and said he would email all the information for the concert taking place next month, in October. Things would be a little simpler since I already lived in Los Angeles.
I hung up the phone and just stared at it for a moment, incredulous. Then my face broke into a huge grin. I couldn't believe I won! I'd get to see them all in person, finally.
That was the beginning of this whole crazy story.
