"Are you sure you need to show up at a conference of a small branch? Trust me, it's not necessary", Amy tried persuading Alice who was busy with her makeup and costume.
"Of course", Alice looked at Amy, "And it's not a small branch. Moreover, Eddie is my friend and I will show my support there."
"Okay", Amy shrugged, "But let me remind you. Soon after the press conference, you will be heading for the photoshoot."
"For the golden Phoenix Awards, right?"

"Yeah, I remember 'What's in my bag?'", Alice smiled.
"What's the venue?"
"South Lanterns City", Alice spoke as she stood up and looked at her pink A-line dress. Then, she put on a black woolen shrug.
"Great location", Amy patted her back as she accompanied Alice out of the room, "Well, remember to post some fresh images on your Instagram handle to hype up your exposure."
"From the photoshoot?"
"Maybe. But better to show off your social working side as well. Today for Eddie and after that Cath will be holding a charity event too."
"Hmm, okay. But who will click me the photos?"
"Don't worry about that. Your fan page will post ahead of you and you can repost it by tagging them. You get me?"
"Get it", Alice smiled.
By then, they were already outside and the black Limo was waiting for them. Today, Alice was wearing extremely light makeup which showed off her flawless beauty. The pink A-line dress molded her curves exquisitely. Seeing her, the driver was practically drooling. Amy glared at him and he lowered his head with shame. Then, he got into the car. Alice entered the car and Amy spoke from outside, "Call me once you reach there."
Alice nodded and the car took off.

The conference room was bustling with fans and reporters. The entire hall looked like a beehive, full of honeybees. Eddie glanced at them from backstage and bit her lips nervously. Jake patted on her shoulder encouragingly, "It's okay. Nothing to be nervous about."
"I know. But it's my first time addressing such a huge crowd."
"What's there to worry?" Jake smiled reassuringly, "Besides Riley will be there to help you."
Eddie nodded absent-mindedly and spoke, "Has Alice arrived yet?"
"No", Jake spoke, "She must be on her way."
"Okay", she smiled.

Amidst the crowd of cameras and reporters, a black Limo came into view. The reporters turned to look around in surprise. They immediately started snapping as the door clicked open. The next moment they saw an elegant lady in a pink A-line dress and a black shrug step down from the car.
The moment, the lady reached the entrance, the reporters threw their bunch of questions.
"Miss Alice, are you here to support Miss Eddie?"
"Do you also think that Miss Eddie is innocent?"
Faced with all the questions, Alice stopped in her tracks and looked straight into the sea of cameras.
"I think, working the same company is the same as being under the same roof. So, I guess I must support My colleague because she has taken up the risk of finding evidence to clear her name. She has taken the huge risk to stand up in front of a huge crowd when she knows that every move she makes is being scrutinized by the crowd."
