Upon finishing his task at the Lizardmen tribes, Atlas and Cocytus returned to Nazarick to tell Ainz about the outcome of their battle.
Cocytus requested Ainz to resurrect the brave Lizardman that withstood more than one strike from Atlas, to which his request was satisfied. Upon deciding this, Ainz summoned the lizardman's wife to make her a spy which would watch over the Lizardmen tribes in case of an uprising. Ensured that the Lizardmen would no longer be a problem, Ainz revived the warrior at his home village.
This action turned Ainz into a god, and Atlas into a sort of grim reaper. The Lizardmen started to worship Ainz as a literal god as they showered altars with offerings. All of this while Cocytus would administrate the growth of this new domain of Nazarick.
Of course Atlas had no interest in handling public affairs for Lizardmen, he already had to manage multiple places. Atlas' only words of advice to Cocytus was to "make your subordinates feel like their cause is worthy." In doing so, the Lizardmen will give their all for Ainz.
With the end of the Lizardmen mission, Ainz initiated a formal event.
"All residents of Nazarick shall take a day off! No exceptions!" Ainz announced.
This was good news for the bored Atlas. This meant that he could relax and go away from work. Even though he has devoted himself to work, due to staying in his flesh form, he has become much more fatigued as of late. A day for rest is not a bad idea indeed.
After everyone left the throne room, Ainz summoned Atlas back to the chamber.
"Atlas, I have a small task for you. Please gather the male guardians so we can all meet at the slime baths." Ainz spoke.
"That include you."
"Very well, Lord Ainz." Atlas responded.
Atlas left the room to look for the guardians. Uopon leaving, he enter the long hallways yet again, navigating them to get from floor to floor. This process felt like ages compared to the Reserve Tomb, it made his old home feel like a short walk compared to this. After finding his way to he arena, he finally stopped to take a short rest.
"Atlas, it is our day off, so why are you not going to our bedroom?" An ominous voice spoke from behind him.
"Narberal, I am on an important mission from Lord Ainz, I will return to bed when I am finished." Atlas spoke.
"Very well, do not keep me waiting." Narberal said as he waved a small packet at him.
Atlas continued on his journey, eventually gathering all of the guardians. But as he was attempting to find Mare, it seemed the dark elf was preoccupied with a conversation with a crow-like person. The only words that Atlas heard was something along the lines of 'inter species breeding'. After Mare finished, Atlas gave him the invitation and the rest came smoothly.
After reaching the slime bathes, all of the guardians entered to meet with Ainz. Atlas felt extremely refreshed from the slime bathes as he had just changed into his skeletal form for a deep clean. The bathes felt just as effective as before, lifting all of the fatigue away from Atlas.
"So what do you usually do on your day off?" Ainz asked the guardians.
"I rest just as I am told. But I still feel the calling of a warrior." Cocytus spoke.
"Even in rest, I must still think of new ways to serve Ainz-sama!" Demiurge enthusiastically announced.
"I usually just rest." Mare spoke shyly.
It seemed like there was no one else here, so I must be Atlas' time to speak. With very little social understandings, he spoke about everything he does on his time off.
"SOUND BARRIER!"
Ainz casted a sound barrier very quickly on Mare as he realised what Atlas was talking about. Not wanting to let the little dark elf be corrupted, the Overlord did what needed to be done.
"It seems your personal affairs are going very well." Demiurge commented.
"Yes, indeed. Atlas is living a satisfying life." Cocytus interjected.
"I am proud of you. When is the wedding day?" Ainz spoke.
"..."
"Narberal said that she is happy to commit to a ceremony at any time, but I have yet to find a suitable ring for the occasion." Atlas spoke.
"The ring must be forged from using an immeasurable amount souls to be worthy of Narberal." Atlas spoke.
"Why do you not slay a foe which is worthy of having their bones used to craft the rings?" Cocytus spoke.
"A ring made of bones?"
"I have a much better idea." Ainz spoke.
"I shall use a powerful crafting skill to create a beautiful set of rings for you both. You may take it as your reward for dealing with those Lizardmen." Ainz announced.
"AINZ-SAMA! YOUR IDEA IS AMAZING!" Demiurge shouted.
"INDEED!"
At the other bath:
"Is that Ainz-sama's voice?" Albedo asked.
I have been tired lately. Anyways, I will be slowing down a bit with this story. I am trying to revise on the third season before I head into LN territory. With research comes delays I guess. I hope you enjoyed this!
