"Ohk! Thank you Aunty!" Jacob looked up and nodded.
Samantha left the room casually, towards ths kitchen to continue preparing the breakfast.
Jacob looked at the envelope curiously and uncealed it. A small pink handwritten note was kept inside the envelope, which he quickly pulled out and started to read out loud.
"Hi Jacob! I know you must be cursing me by now, for not letting you die. But I coudn't just let you jump like that!
Also, you look exactly like your father and I am sure you have similar traits, just like him. You don't suck, rather you are too brave! Trust me, your father doesn't want your company right now! He wants you to live your life to the fullest first and follow his footsteps! Maybe you should not curse me so much, after all. Think about it!!
- The wild spirited and kidish girl, who by the way saved your life. Isa :)"
Jacob could not help but smile at the last scentence. He read the note again and again, smiling a little.
Just then Samnatha entered his room, lost in her own thoughts. " Is fried chicke.....!!!" She stopped her scentence, in between, looking at Jacob in surprise.
He is smiling? Samantha did not even remember the last time, Jacob had smiled in past two years, ever since his father was diagnosed with the brain tumour.
"You....You are smiling!!!??"
Jacob blushed at Samantha's words and straightened his face. "I was just laughing at the girl's stupidity! Who writes such kind of notes these days?!"
"But she did make you smile! The girl is really something!! Oh!! I like her even more now!!" Samantha smiled happily, clasping her hands.
Jacob looked at her in surprise, as if she was an alien. Jacob's reaction made Samantha immediately straighten herself and not make the boy feel any more awkward. "Ohk! Breakfast is ready! Get dressed and come downstairs!"
After Samantha left the room, Jacob read the letter again and kept it carefully in his bed-side drawer and rushed to take a shower.
