章 8: Surprise Guest pt. 2
"A-annie?!" I stumbled. I thought she has another appointment?! I'm fucked up now. "Why so surprised?" she asked confused. "No, I just thought . . . y-you have another appointment", I scratch the back of my head. Her brows' narrowed and she asked me why. What? Playing dumb now? " You wrote me a letter saying you have another appointment", I showed her the note. I told her I found it on the counter. She told me she didn't write that.
There was another knock on the door later that evening. "Oh, Annie, you're gonna love my surprise for you", I clapped my hands. "You looked like a seal, sweetheart", we laughed. I opened the door and it revealed Jeremy. I told him someone wants to see him. " You!" Annie's eyes gone big. I knew she'll recognize him. "Annie, this Jeremy. Jeremy, this is Annie, my super amazing BFF", I introduced the both of them. They shook hands and talk while I was working in the kitchen. They seem to like each other.
" Hey, Jer! Did you know that when we bumped you for the first time, Annie fell for you?" I blurted out. Annie blushed and whispered 'I guess so' and we all laughed. The dinner was ready before we know it and it was delicious. Of course because I made it.
We all said our goodbyes and Jeremy went on his way.
Once Jeremy was gone, Annie hugged me and said 'thanks'. I patted her back and respond, "Yeah, you're welcome, I can't breath", we laughed it out again and went to our rooms and sleep. Best friend - versary ever.
