章 20: Break (4)
Ryan walked with Athena, His face was expressionless, he looked very uptight. The guy was an ice cube.
Athena didn't pay a lot of attention to Ryan, until he started talking. "How do you know, I am Ryan?"
"You are quite popular at school." Athena replied.
"What if I am the wrong Ryan? There is another Ryan in this school. Ryan said coldly.
"The guy said your class and your the only Ryan in this class. Athena said. After this statement there was no conversation between the two. The two walked silently, getting weird stares from other students.
Athena knew this would cause her more problems and attention, she did not want either of those. 'Hands-up more criticism and bullying. 'Yay' she thought sarcastically.
The two walked towards the young man, without any sound except the continuous tapping of there shoes against the ground.
Once Athena, Ryan reached the corner of the school, near the construction entrance. Athena did not say anything and only held out her hand.
The other guy took the initiative to place around $5000 on her hand. "That is all I have in cash right now."
Athena counted the cash and found it was only $23 off from $5000. She accepted the money "At least she got some money."
Before the unknown guy could say anything, Athena spoke. "Won't tell anyone, because I don't want to die. I got my money so I will keep this sealed." Athena said in one breath.
The handsome young man kept looking at her, with a slight smile. " you might kill me if I tell, or you might kill me before, I even tell anyone. I don't want to die, so I am just telling you, I won't speak a word and I already forgot about our meeting." With her last sentence Athena walked off.
Both young man looked at the retreating figure of Athena, they both did not know who she was.
"Do you think she will tell anyone anything? What should we do, if she does" Ryan asked the young man.
"Don't worry, she won't tell anyone. She knows the danger she will face ahead. But keep an eye on her for a while." The unknown man said.
"Hmm" Ryan agreed with a cold hum.
"She will be very dangerous in the near future." After the unknown man had finished talking about Athena, he continued his conversation with Ryan.
Athena Who was unknown of the fact that the two men were discussing about her continued to walk, she was extremely delighted, that she was able to make some extra bucks.
Through the money Athena had collected she knew she would be able to create a lot more money, investments and profits. The dollar signs were shining in Athena's eyes.
Athena went back to her class, found her bag and took out her only food; an apple. No-one was there in her classroom, it was mostly quiet, except for the occasional noise coming from outside the classroom. Of a few students walking in the school corridor (hallway).
There was a large window on one side of the classroom, Athena leaned towards the window, she started munching on her apple. Looking outside at the gloomy scenery, it was dark but there was something attractive that Athena found about the weather.
Athena had long forgotten about the little interaction she had with Ryan and the unknown guy, she knew it was best to lay low and enjoy the $5000 she had.
After quickly finishing her apple, Athena countries to look outside the large windows. Her face expressionless, but she was in deep thought.
Inside her brain, Athena was thinking about the weird month she had been having, waking up from a coma like states, where she got to learn about her future self. At first she thought she had been reborn, stupid.
But she really did.
Afterwards she thought she had just had a very long dream, but the events that happened proved her wrong yet again. She just stopped thinking about all of the things that happened to her in the past month.
'Sometimes, I think I should see a therapist, but there are some things I cannot do as children right now.' Athena thought in her mind.
'I should really get therapy sessions, but there are somethings that are kept to myself' Athena continued to debate to herself in her mind. On whether to see a therapist or not. In the end she decided not to.
Athena continued to trail off with her thoughts.
Until she saw students,walking in gossiping and chattering to one another.
'I guess lunch break finished, so much happened.' Athena thought as she walked off to her desk.
"You went to see Ryan from the A class right." One of the girls in a group of 3 came up Athena and asked her rudely.
"Listen, she is talking to you." The other girl with short blond hair said.
"Ya, I am sorry, but I accidentally found his belongings so I returned it" Athena said without any expression, her voice sounding a bit robotic.
"Seriously? I st that you're excuse, just like her mother I guess." The girl with brown hair. Supposedly the leader of the girls said.
With a mocking smile, the girls left Athena. At most they were only high school (senior college) students. All they could do was say a lit bit of insulting words, to satisfy there envy and negative emotions.
Athena continued to ignore them afterwards. The girls tried to provoke Athena from time to time during the session.
'I knew doing that task during lunch, would create more problems." Athena thought.
The school ended, after the last class.
