The crystal orbs are used to test magical and physical aptitudes of people in this world. Each orb has its own purpose and are worth as much a treasure weapons. This is because simply having an orb can enable an organisation to raise an army. Orbs are extremely important for all military organisations, but I don't know how a school got a hold of all 3 orbs.
I guess the boy thing left to do is to test my aptitudes. I placed my right hand on the stone and awaited a response from the orbs.
"Just wait for a moment, and take that helmet off. You are in the Palace." The priest said.
I took off my helmet and continued to wait for a response.
"Boy you don't look like a commoner, what noble family are you from?" The priest asked.
During this event, the girl hasn't said a word, she just waited and looked at the orbs.
"I am an orphan." I sighed.
The priest looked down and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"I hope the academy helps you with your situation, boy."
"Thank you for your kindness." I spoke.
BOOM
a pulse of lights appeared from the 3 orbs, just as they should. The left orb shone with strong red light, the middle with powerful white light, and the least orb had an orange light.
"Hmmm... I will take this one." The girl spoke.
"Good choice. This combination indicates he is adequate for your needs." The priest smiled.
"Boy, you have B rated fire magic potential, A rated physical power, and S rated swordsmanship." The priest said in a very happy tone.
"You've got a great future ahead of you, don't waste it!"
I turned towards the girl, she was dressed like a noble, and had a cold demeanour. Her red hair was well kept and perfectly long but not too long. She looked at me with her cold eyes and said, "What are you waiting for, come with me."
I followed her towards the palace gates always behind her, and never beside or in front. A sign of respect for a noble of her stature. Most likely she is a princess, so I must maintain a respectable demeanour at all times.
"Ren, was it? Are you by any chance an adventurer?" She asked, as a servant opened the main door.
"Adventurers are idiots, why would I be one of them?
It is true, adventurers start most wars in this continent. They do stupid things like stealing gems from a powerful emperor, or killing a dragon king. All of which are enough to get a city slaughtered as punishment. Adventurers are selfish idiots.
"I sense a bit of passion from that statement, would you care to elaborate?" She asked in an interested tone.
"My parents were adventurers, that's all."
We continued to a large dining room with a long table in the middle of it. 5 other people our age were sitting down at the table. 3 girls and 2 boys. They all were waiting for the noble girl to speak.
"'Order Of Red' is in session!" She shouted.
"Today we are welcoming Ren into our fan club for the great bounty hunter, Red!"
"Huh?"
"The greatest ever bounty hunter has retired as of today, but we will forever cherish his memory." The noble girl said while in tears.
"Judging from your armor, you must also be a fan." A fancilydressed boy said.
"I am Kieran Lux, son of Duke Lux, welcome to the club."
"Oh I forgot to say, I am Kara Hazel, The second princess." The noble girl announced.
I understand now, this is a cult isn't it? All of their clothing was mainly red and the room had red carpet. It seems that I am famous enough to have my own personal cult. I guess I can join these people, they do seem to be high ranking nobles after all.
"I am Ren, nice to meet you all."
"Those girls over there are Diane and Fana, I am Yuki. That boy is Henry." An oranges haired beauty announced.
"I am sure you would want to know how this club of ours was create right?" Kara said.
"Well 2 years ago, The Great Red saved all of us from a serial killer with one punch. If it weren't for him we would all be dead. We have been looking for more members lately since the monster hunting competition is coming up soon, so we invited a strong and like-minded person to join us."
"Of course since you have join us, there will be benefits. You will be promoted to the Adamantine Course. Isn't it great being a princess?" Kara chuckled.
Being part of my own fan club isn't a bad idea. Joining basically entitles me to the best course in the academy, a bulletproof support network, and upper echelon connections. The strategically wise decision is obviously to join, so I will do just that.
"How do I join?" I asked.
"Hmmm... we don't actually have a joining test, so we might just have to test your how trustworthy you are another way. How about you tell us about why you like Red?"
I was caught slightly off guard by this, but was able to regain my composure.
"Well... Red is just the best bounty hunter around." I said.
"I will accept that for now. Ren, come with me."
