章 222: Possession 13: Trust

"Jae Kim," the boy had called her as soon as the other came to the spot where she'd begged him to meet her in his note. 

She looked at him with love in her eyes, and yet, the other's countenance crushed her heart as he held out his hand to give her back the small black button she was too silly to send him earlier, with his answer. 

"Sorry. But I can never be your friend…" the boy she loved said solemnly, gently, and she was not able to do anything but nod and accept his answer courageously. 

"Okay," she answered with a smile regardless how much pain gripped at her heart. 

She had wanted to cry then and there but stopped herself, thinking she didn't want to trouble the other further with her tears.
