章 61: Vladimir and Pam invited to be Best Man and Woman..
One by one they rose and congratulated Zoya and Arkady.
As usual a wedding would take a lot of planning, the Cathedral at the Monastery was a natural choice for the venue followed by a carriage ride for the bride and groom back to their residence in Akademgorodok.
The excitement of the announcement flowed over through dinner and into the night in Zoya's house as they all sat up talking and making plans.
During the evening, Zoya turned to Vladimir and Pamela - saying "None of this would be possible because of you and your help with my illness and Vladimir too coming to our rescue with the bandits.." So we would be honored if you would be our best man and woman at our wedding.."
We would both love to be a part of your wedding..! Was the immediate reply of Pamela and Vladimir..
Then Vladimir looked over at Arkady.. and said.. maybe one day soon.. you can return the favor and be our best man..
At that Pamela's face turned to Vladimir and raised her eyebrows.. saying.. you're assuming that I would marry you... and everyone laughed... leaving only Vladimir frowning..
The evening was one of happiness with some drinking..
Later Vladimir was shown a spare room.. which he found himself in alone starring up at the ceiling..
He thought to himself - "nothing is certain but change..." where will this path lead to?
