章 150: Paths Crossed

Li Na, sitting in the backseat of the car, leaned slightly forward as the window rolled down. Her eyes flickered with curiosity as she glanced back at Wang Dawei, who was preparing to leave. There was a hint of curiosity in her posture, though she kept her tone casual.

"Hey, Dawei," she called out, drawing his attention. He turned toward her, his expression shifting from focus to mild surprise. "Do you know where Lu Jun-hui is? Last I saw, you both were hovering around the lake garden during the party."

Wang Dawei paused mid-step, then slowly approached the car. His face softened into a thoughtful expression, clearly replaying the events from earlier. He rubbed the back of his neck, his brow slightly furrowing as he spoke. 

"We were together," he started, his voice slightly quieter, "right after your... disappearance." He shot her a knowing look, one that suggested he remembered something amusing or mischievous she'd done.
