章 29: Soft Towards The Man

Due to the fever, the medication briefly soothed Li Na, but it wasn't long before her body grew restless. In her unconscious state, she began to experience strange and unsettling visions. Her brows furrowed deeply as discomfort twisted her features in her sleep.

Suddenly, she found herself in a place that was cold, dark, and utterly desolate. The air felt thick with isolation, and she could barely see. She reached up, realizing her eyes were covered by some kind of glass-like frame that pressed against her temples. Blindfolded by darkness, she stood there, her breathing shallow, as an eerie silence wrapped around her.

A sense of dread slithered up her spine like a venomous snake, creeping across her arms and shoulders. Goosebumps prickled her skin. She took a sharp breath, trying to shake off the fear, but the stillness was suffocating. Her other senses heightened in response, trying to grasp onto anything familiar in the vast emptiness.
