As the last wind of winter ebbed away, and the first leaves grew once more on the desolate branches that signified the coming of spring, the sakura, too, began to bloom splendidly to welcome the new school year.
Many people woke up early today, either in dread or excitement but, for those new students of U.A., the school which was considered the best high school for young, aspiring heroes, today was a special day.
It was the day that their journey towards their dreams began so, with that in mind, they all woke up and got to school early without fail.
All of them... except one.
Haaa~
Walking along the hallways which looked like a two-lane road, a boy with messy, obviously uncombed white hair yawned. Although his hair was very messy, it was already at a much better state than it was previously. What used to be hair that reached to his shoulders was now cut shorter, reaching to his nape, but still scattered haphazardly like a white fluffball.
"Ah~ I'm not ready yet... I stayed up late last night trying to finish Mofumofu-chan's route and woke up late..." The boy rubbed a hand on his face, his deathly pale skin contrasting against the dark bags under his eyes, making him appear sickly.
As he passed by the large windows of the building, the light caught on multiple metallic objects on him.
Right ear, two. Left ear, two. Left eyebrow, one. Lower lip, one. Plus the one hidden on his tongue, that's seven in total. Seven piercings.
Yes, seven. That's quite a lot, right? Well then, let me explain how that happened. But, before that, good morning! This is your humble narrator, Yamori Kaito, at your service.
In the duration of our short vacation, six piercings were added to the one I already had.
How did it happen, you ask? Well, it was mostly Izuku's fault... as well as my own laziness.
"Kaito! I bought you a present!" Izuku grinned widely as he took a package from his bag. "It's a gift to celebrate both of us passing the exam!"
"Oh..." I replied and stared at the package skeptically. "Izuku..."
"Yeah?" Izuku asked curiously, wondering why his friend's expression was so serious.
"This is an ear piercing." I replied dully, holding the the package which contained a single, black stud.
"Huh?! I didn't know!" Izuku was shocked. "After making a mistake last time, I made sure to research the difference between the different kinds of piercings but, after actually trying to buy it, I realized that it's actually harder to spot the difference in person! Maybe I just didn't research enough, Next time, I'll buy-"
Pa.
Having had enough of Izuku's mutterings, I smartly ended it all by just sticking the damn piercing into my ear directly.
"AHH! KAITO! YOU DID IT AGAIN!"
Some days after that...
"Kaito! Here!" Izuku said seriously, holding another package. "I saw this one while I was taking a walk and thought that it would look cool on you so I bought it."
"...Sure." I furrowed my eyebrows upon seeing what was inside. "Izuku..."
"What is it?" Izuku stared at me in anticipation.
"This one..." I took out two circular piercings that had a short chain connecting them. "Is a lip to ear piercing set."
"Ahh!!! I got it wrong again!" He groaned loudly. "Give it to me and I'll-"
Pa. Pa.
Izuku's hand twitched, looking as if he was grabbing the air as he stared in shock at his friend who had just calmly poked two holes consecutively on his face.
Then, roughly a week later...
"This time, surely... This time, I'll get it right!" Izuku declared with a determined look as he stared at his friend who was holding a package he had just handed to him.
"Izuku..." I slowly said, attracting Izuku's attention.
Nearby, All Might was watching his two students curiously. Inwardly, he was getting concerned since one of his students was looking increasingly like a yankee*, while the other one kept supplying the former with more stuff that made him look like a yankee.
(Yankee- young gangster)
"This one... is an eyebrow piercing." I informed seriously while dangling the small, mostly round-shaped piercing between my fingers.
"Argh!!! Wrong again!" Izuku screamed loudly. "Hand it over Kai-"
Pa.
Before he could finish his sentence, I already put it on.
Pfff!!!
All Might spat out blood.
...
The next day...
Izuku visited his friend's house. Although it wasn't his first time visiting, it still amazed him how spacious it was but, as much as he wanted to research and map out the whole house, today, he was on a mission.
Right now, he was staring intently at his friend's face, his eyes blazing with determination.
Hah... Why is he even so persistent about this?
I inwardly sighed.
Let's just get it over with.
"...Ear piercing."
"YES!!! I FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!!!" He shouted, punching the air victoriously.
"But, it's for the top part." I clarified, rolling the pair of piercings on top of my palm.
"Huh? Top part?" Izuku immediately calmed down and asked in confusion.
Pa. Pa.
Soon, a pair of new, pointy, cone-shaped piercings made their home at the upper part of Kaito's ears.
"AHH!!! KAITO, STOP DOING THAT!!!" Izuku screamed in frustration.
...
So, here we are, starting the new term with a new look.
I walked languidly, feeling sleepy but, since it's the first day of school, I had to at least show my face.
And besides, I couldn't afford to miss the show that was supposed to happen today so, here I am.
Suddenly, I spotted a yellow caterpillar slowly crawling in front of me.
...Oh.
...
Tired.
That was the only word which could summarize what Aizawa Shouta was feeling this morning.
It hadn't even started yet but he was already feeling extremely tired. Just the thought of dealing with a bunch of wild students for a whole year was already wearing him down but, he had a responsibility to carry so, even with his thoughts like that, he still crawled his way to the class, quite literally.
Then, in front of him, a wild punk appeared. And when he said 'punk', he meant it.
The boy had pale skin, black eyes, messy white hair. His fingers were littered with rings, his face decked with piercings, his uniform and jacket unbuttoned, showing his shirt underneath.
He was the perfect definition of a bad student.
Then, he heard the words he didn't want to hear the most.
"Morning, Aizawa-sensei. I'm Yamori Kaito from your class." The boy smiled. Even his smile looked sloppy and sinister, as if he was plotting something bad. "I'll be in your care."
Nya~
Suddenly, a muffled sound broke Aizawa's train of thoughts.
"What was that?" He asked in surprise.
"Oh um..." The boy looked sheepish but began to slowly open his bag, carefully taking out a tiny ball of white. "Mashiro didn't want to be left at home so I ended up taking her with me... can I?"
"I see..." Aizawa muttered. All his previous negative thoughts about his new student disappeared like smoke. This student didn't seem that bad after all. "It'll be a problem if it escapes but, since the school doesn't have rules preventing students from bringing pets, just leave it with me during lessons."
Aizawa instantly granted permission.
Then, he proceeded to crawl towards the class with his new student and a kitten following along.
Unknown to him, the new student was grinning in a sinister manner behind him.
Hehe~ It was a good idea to bring Mashiro along. Now, I have the homeroom teacher on my side~
