章 3: Meeting Insanity

Greyed out, Alt was a bit sad that he couldn't choose the gun since he had some experience shooting a gun with his friend in a shooting range. As Alt look at the choices and the surplus of lives part of the message he whispered "So it's like a game then" as he choose the shortsword, then a basic starter weapon looking sword appeared, floating in front of him it had a black metallic shine to it with a slim circle, with engravings of a snake and eyes on the hilt, when he grabbed the sword it fit nicely into his hands although slightly heavy it wasn't to the point where it swung him instead. The blade seemed to have been made just for him, that was the kind of sensation he felt as he was holding the sword. Then Alt was suddenly in a different place, he didn't feel any different other than the fact that he had suddenly felt the lukewarm air of the space sticking to his skin, creating a sharp contrast from when he was in the void where he constantly felt like he was floating even tho he was standing up right, the sword was still in his hands and he could now clearly feel the sensation of the ground underneath his feet. As he had started to believe that this was all a dream, and as this was his first time in a lucid dream like this he started to feel excited. "Where's the boss?" As he looked around the big empty room or cave like place he had just appeared in. It was significantly large, about as large as the park near his house where he played in as a child. Then suddenly as he was turning around he was hit, or blasted away by a incredible impact from his left side, as he tried to regained control over his body to see what had happened to him what assaulted him was pain. Extremely large quantities of pain which he had never felt before assaulted him, he became unable to hold on to his sword, or even keep trying to stand up as he crumpled to the floor sliding down from the wall he had been leaning on unable to even breath as he just let out small grunts of agony, although he himself couldn't check his wounds, his left arm was bent in a unnatural shape and left leg was strangely limp like jelly, his ribs were broken and had punctured his organs, he was bleeding from his left ear with scratches all over the right side of his body from the collision with the wall. As Alt was in agony he saw something move in the corner of his eye and with his blurry vision saw the thing which had hit him, it was a large spider like being with a human looking upper body, except it's upper body was just as hideous as it's lower body unlike the beautiful ones often shown in anime and manga and it's body was as big as a car, it had a spiders face with saliva dripping from it's open mouth moving it's fangs disgustingly, it look like it was smiling. It slowly crawled towards Alt and raised one of it's legs as Alt tried spit out the blood in his mouth to say something, "Wai- was all he could utter before he saw the creature swings it's leg down, his vision went dark again and once again he found himself in the darkness he had been prior with no injuries or pain, but what had changed was the contents of the message in front of him it read "You have been killed by the boss Arachne Queen Plauge... Remaining lives 34/35, due to selection of Insanity difficultly weapon re-selection is unavailable please click Ready when ready otherwise you will be automatically be transported after 20 minutes pass."
