章 67: Techno punk squad
In the great metropolis of Kallil just east of central continent a turf war had broken out that raged across the city.
On one side was the reaper ganging full of runed up maniacs who couldn't care less about their own lives, their gang had spread to all corners of the world in a mass outburst of violence that the church didn't seem to act against forcing the military into almost open war to the point that they could no longer even hunt down the resistance.
One the other side of this great city's turf war was an up and coming crew of tech heads armed with artifacts as well as many traps that once strategically laid out were a nightmare for the reaper gang to deal with.
Both the military and the resistance had tried to enroll them into their forces claiming that they would greatly help put a stop to the reaper gangs madness but Techno punk's leader treated the military just as bad as the reapers while only offering to send refugees to the resistance in exchange for supplies just they grudgingly agreed to as it was better then getting raided like their opponents were.
This Techno Punk squad used camouflage devices along with their magitech guns to attack supply lines all over the city in a gorilla warfare that shocked many of the leading powers into a passive state and as the church had mainly backed off from most of the global conflicts as long as it didn't directly involve their services many people were simply unable to sense these punks before it was too late.
In an underground structure a military captain struggled against his binding as he was tased by a wild punk wearing their squads garb of a top hat and insane asylum jackets that had the sleeves cut so that their arms would poke out the shoulders while the sleeves remained wrapped around the body.
"Tell me about the facility pops *zap*, we know you have a dangerous weapon in there and the boss want it to deal with the reapers. So how about you help me help you, just think of how many people you could save if you just tell us everything you know." He asked as he had many times before.
The captain responded by spitting in his face to yell back "you're a fool to think you can control that monster! If it escaped then everyone would get killed on all sides, your boss is mad to try such a thing I don't even know why the church would have such a creature even it can barely contain."
The punk tased him gain before claiming "The boss is a bloody genius so if he says it will help then help is what it will do alright so just *zap* answer *zap* my questions! Cause if you don't the boss will show you just how clever he is as he is building a device right now to break into that head of yours and copy everything inside… only afterwords you're not mind will be broken to pieces ehahahahaaa we'll see who is mad then won't we?"
From the doorway comes a young man with spiky hair dressed in a lab coat pulling along a strange apparatus. "Time's up Henry, he either tells us now or I'm fairly sure this will work properly this time but even if it works the military won't take a vegetable back into its ranks because no healer will fix this."
Turning around to smile at his new subject while he adjusted his glasses as sparks bounced over his body was none other the Arc who appeared to be fanatically determined to find out everything there was about this facility.
"Now good captain who said anything about controlling the Queen of Hearts as she is just perfect the way she has always been and deserves to be as free as everyone else. I don't take kindly to you calling the most beautiful being a monster so I think it's just about testing time." Arc says as he pulls the device up to the violently struggling soldier to connect wires to various places on his head before pulling out a large thick needle connected to a computer which he calmly takes behind the man to slowly insert into just bellow the skull at the back of his neck effectively plugging directly into the brain.
Arc hold the top of the mans head with one hand as energy flows all over the both of them. The computer screen is glitching out as it runs haywire.
Even Henry a loyal follower backs out of the room in fear at what his was witnessing as his boss seemed to be chanting "show me the way! Show her to me!" over and over.
Eventually the room grew quiet with only the casual sound of Arc mumbling to himself about the heart institute along with the smell of burnt flesh and strangely a lot of coffee.
When he walked out of the room with renewed purpose and a cup of coffee he didn't enter with when Henry hesitantly came up to him "D-did it work Boss?"
Arc smiled at him calmly taking a sip of coffee "It definitely could have gone better but we have new targets so I think I came make some improvements to the procedure by the time they are captured. We are getting close Henry, when she is finally free we can build a better tomorrow for all of us. I have the plans together to evade all the opposing forces and be able to live free of this horrible society the church has subjected us to but I won't leave without her so this is vital that we succeed."
Henry solutes him with his fist over his chest "We follow our heart!"
