In the USA, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon, Romania, and Russia, the summer vacation is normally three months, compared to six to eight weeks in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Pakistan, India, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany. However in countries like Germany, there are multiple breaks during the year that are up 2 weeks long to compensate for the shorter summer break.
