章 31: Training Ground
Deep in the cavern in the light of twinkling stones on the walls, a boy alongside two of his Pokemon was walking forward, trying to find what he is looking for.
He looked around with his sparkling eyes feeling very fascinated with the small world inside the mountain. He was very intrigued by everything around him and was feeling very excited as he never really travelled much so the sights in front of him were very new to him.
But there was something that surprised him and it was about, how convenient the passage was.
Even if there were some roughness here and there, like some rocks blocking the path or few difficult places to get a solid footing on, the whole passage was quite convenient for humans to walk through. It was as if it was made by a civilization long ago who unbelievably used to live here.
Saad was very intrigued by his observations and was quite excited to explore furthermore inside. There were many questions in his minds right now, like who put the torches in here, and who created this passage, that in his calculations mapped the whole of the mountain range.
There were also some low voices that echoed in the whole area occasionally, making Saad feel a little more anticipation somehow.
Those voices were a confirmation that around somewhere near him, there were Pokemon living in this place hidden from the outside.
Saad noted a certain direction that most of the noises coming from and that was just in front of him. This made him feel elated because it meant that he was about to encounter some of the Pokemon soon.

As Saad was moving forward in anticipation, he heard a loud commotion ahead of him. He, who was trying to jump over a rock in front of him paused as he took a step backwards and hinted his Pokemon who were also alert after hearing the noise.
Saad looked forward patiently as the voices continued to get louder and louder. It was quite apparent that whatever the source of those voices was, it was coming closer and closer.
Saad who was on high alert heard some flapping as if some birds were coming closer and looked closely as he saw some creatures appear a little ahead of him.
His eyes that were trying their best to look at what was coming towards him, suddenly dilated as he quickly ducked as a huge mass of blue, bat-like Pokemon just went flying above his head.
Saad who was shocked to death by these strange Pokemon quickly recognized them and shouted in panic as he covered his ears with his hands.
Luxio and Monferno who were just beside him, quickly jumped closer to him as they took an alert stance. They monitored the huge swarm of Pokemon that was flying forward from above their head and were ready to respond to any hostility shown by those Pokemon.
It was quite a tense situation as the huge number of those bat-like Pokemon, made Saad's heart beat faster and faster. Just the large number of those Pokemon was enough to scare the hell out of the little boy.
But it looked like it was quite fortunate for him as those Pokemon seemed to have no intention to attack as they just continued to move forward without paying any attention to him and his Pokemon.
Soon, the huge swarm of those Pokemon vanished from Saad's eyes who was sitting there covering his ears and could now finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Oh my god! There were so many of them…...if they attacked us together….",
Saad who slowly standing up shivered as he thought of the possibility.
Saad looked at the direction the Pokemon went to and after standing there for a brief moment, turned towards his Pokemon who was just beside him and said to them,
"Looks like we underestimated the risks....."
Monferno and Luxio who were just standing there silently nodded as they too glanced at their front.
Saad smiled at them knowing that they got his point and moved backwards as he put his back against the rock behind him while trying his best to calm his nerves.
He was still quite taken back by that earlier encounter and was feeling a little intimated but still seeing his Pokemon who were standing in front of him, with a calm look on their faces, calmed him down a little as he muttered after taking a long breath,
"We need to be more vigilant....Hopefully, we will not face any situation out of our control."
Monferno and Luxio nodded as they started to follow the lead of their Trainer who started to walk forward towards their earlier direction.

Saad and his Pokemon walked cautiously for a few minutes, as the uneven path started to tire him out. The walking in the passage was quite hard for him as his legs began to feel heavy.
"Looks like I need some rest...",
Saad was feeling this for a while that he need to physically train himself because he very much lacks in stamina. He realized that his low stamina slows the group down when they travel and this must not continue. He can't be the one to drag others down, he thought.
But for now, he decided to take a little rest after walking for a bit more.
And as he was walking forward with his tired legs, he heard some rumbling and paused as he stared at the huge opening in front of him. It looked like that passage was ending a few meters away for him, leading to the place where the sound was coming from.
Saad got attentive as he slowly moved forward, trying his best not to create any loud noise. He walked alongside his Pokemon as they neared more and more to the source of those noises.
And just after a few moments, they finally reached the end of the passage as a huge area appeared in front of them. It looked like it was a huge hollow space in the mountain core, which was covered with small rocks, appearing to look like a house to many Rock-type Pokemon who could be seen walking around.
Saad who was standing at the edge of the passage looked down at the huge area and saw the Pokemon that were walking freely there.
There were Geodudes, Graveler and some Onix waking around. They were quite large in number as they chomped and thrashed around at the rocks creating quite a commotion.
Saad who was quite surprised by the huge space in front of him, hid behind some rocks carefully as he stared at the Pokemon walking below him.
He monitored the whole situation for a while and turned towards his Pokemon as he smiled and muttered,
"Looks like we found your training ground…..."
