章 14: Welp.

June, Con, and Don walked along the dungeon hallway alert and ready for anything. Keres however was picking his nose with his pink seemingly without a care in the world. June noticed of course as although she was focusing on her surroundings she took glances whenever she can at Keres. Though these glances brought only disappointment to her as Keres seemed to not care their were others watching him groom himself in such an uncouth manner. The twins though were chuckling to themselves when they noticed June's disappointment.

(Is this what the dungeon is? It's so bland and well underwhelming. It's just dirt and more dirt as far as the eye can see. Maybe I should travel the outside world instead of delving into the dungeon.)

While Keres was contemplating on what he should do. The walls of the dungeon began to secrete a pack of armored armadillo's. The beasts were giant in comparison to regular armadillos. Their height being at four feet give or take. Keres immediately noticed them though he did not say anything as he wanted to test the perception of his newfound companions. While they were not as fast as Keres wanted them to be June, Don, and Con noticed the beasts and immediately entered a simple battle formation. June in the middle with Don and Con flanking her sides though just a few steps ahead. Ready to take on the pack of beasts coming straight at them. Of course Keres was not part of the formation. Not due to others excluding him but rather they did not practice their formation with a fourth.

Though to be honest the trios formation was simple and if a fourth wanted to join in. All they had to do was simply stand next to either Don or Con. Keres smiling to himself did exactly so. However just as he was walking by though he heard June chant her magic ability. "Astrapi bless my arrow so that your brilliance can be seen and heard once again." The arrow head that June had knocked into her bow started to cackle lightning. Keres saw the energy of the world condense and flow through June's body out from her hands and into the arrow. Unbeknownst to him at this time on his back a new ability appeared.

*Twang*

The arrow flew out and pierced one of the incoming armored armadillo's. A blast of lightning exploded out from the spot it was hit at. The beast crumpled and started to disappear while Don and Con cheered on. June was looking quite proud of herself while Keres got the feeling that he could replicate the ability.

(Test that out later for now lets handle these monsters.)

The remaining eight armadillo's assaulted their position. Normally Don's and Con's swords would be useless against the beasts armor but they did not become level two for no reason. They waited and defended patiently until they could strike the underside of the beasts with their weapons. Luckily for Keres his hammers cared not for the beasts natural armor and made quick work of any that chose to come after him.

During the fight June, Don, and Con felt that things were much easier with a solid third front liner. Especially since they usually have to fall back little by little so that they don't overwhelmed. Though with Keres by their side they held the line and the skirmish went smooth. June had no worry and could fire freely into the pack of beasts. Felling one after the other with her magical arrows.

Nothing remained of the beasts other than the orbs they left behind. Keres smiled and began to stretch.

"Y'all can keep the orbs as an apology."

The trio immediately tried to refute him but were confused by his words. June was the first to speak up.

"What do you mean?"

"I just remembered that I left some unfinished errands at home that I got to take care of."

The trio immediately lowered their heads in sadness. They knew their oncoming fights were not going to be as easy as the one just had with Keres gone. But they had bills to pay so they had to continue for just a bit more. Don was the one that spoke this time.

"Alright then you be careful on your back. And if you're looking for a group to dungeon with you can always call on us."

Con and June nodded in affirmation as well.

"Sounds like a plan. When you guys come out you can find my at the Hephaestus familia quarters. Just ask around for a man named Nuren and he'll take you to me. If nothing else see y'all later."

They went on their separate ways while Keres was particularly excited to get home to test out the feeling he had. While walking with her two companions June took glances behind her pondering to herself. Don and Con though were just smiling to themselves while keeping an eye out for danger.

Keres made his way out of the dungeon with no harassment from the dungeon itself. Seeing Urien he just smiles and waves indicating he has nothing to sell. Urien just nods. "Have a good day Keres." Making his way to his room that has been furnished with the things he requested for. He simply smiled to himself. After taking a quick shower he made his way to Hephaestus room and knocked on her door. Only a couple of seconds passed when the door opened to show Hephaestus tired face.

"Sorry if this is a bad time I will stop by later." Keres was in no rush he now had the time. Hephaestus in response rubbed her eyes and yawned.

"No. Come on in it better be good or i'm going to work you." Keres just smiled with confidence knowing what he had was good. Based on her reaction to his abilities few weeks prior.

"Do you have a room or area where you test weapons?"

Hephaestus interest was immediately perked as she grabbed Keres and rushed him into her testing room. The room was fairly large as it contained an archery range and training dummies. The dummies caught Keres interest as these dummies weren't just made of wool and hay. Rather there were some that looked like actual naked human bodies but without a head and lower half. Some of them had armor on them as well.

"Behold my awesome reincarnor powers!" Keres exclaimed as he struck a pose. Hephaestus watched earnestly waiting to see what the old man in a young body will do.

"Astrapi bless my hammer so that your brilliance can be seen and heard once again." His hammer immediately began to cackle with lightning. As Keres threw it towards a training dummy. It landed precisely and an explosion of lightning occurred. Keres looked at Hephaestus with a proud expressions. Only to find Hephaestus looking unamused and quite angry.

"You disturbed me for this?!"
