After Dai and Yu had their filling of teasing Eli and Trelawney of their new romance, they were back to planning another attack. "Thank you for taking charge of the army when I was sleeping." Dai tells Yu.
"It's my duty as your wife, after all." Yu tells Dai with a beaming smile on her face. She honestly liked ruling the army and she would do it again as long as she had her husband on her side. Dai smiled back, showing her his sharp teeth.
As Dai checked the map, he realized that they were camping right on the outskirts of Moconia, the land of the Centaurs. He broke out into a sweat because he knew that the centaurs were known for their ferocious cruelty. He shared this with Yu and even she was worried that the army couldn't last against them. "That's the issue. The army can't last against the centaurs. We have to go. Now!" Dai shouted. "Fall back!" He shouted to the army. Before the demon army could flee, an arrow was shot towards them, missing every single demon's head. The arrow lodged itself into a tree.
Yu gasped at the speed of the arrow and she started to tremble in fear. Dai noticed it and he leaped beside her and scooped her up into his arms. He leaped onto his throne as he held Yu closer to him. Eli did the same thing with Trelawney, holding her closer to him to protect her. Damn it! Why them of all races?! Dai cursed.
The demon army started to flee at their King's command as the arrow proved as an warning. As they fled, one of the centaurs that were shooting the arrows were smirking at the retreating demon army. "Running away like newborn babies, how pathetic." He voiced out all of the sudden, feeling amused. He knew about the Demon King and his victories, but the Demon King's victories was soon going to run out, the centaur thought. He knew that the centaur army would be a strong match-up against the demon army.
He knew that the Demon King was going to need to be smart and he galloped away, his smirk growing. He knew that he was going to get promoted for driving out the Demon King and his army.
With Dai and the others, they had fled back into a forest, only this time, the forest was safe. No centaurs dared to venture outside of their own land unless they were fighting in a war, which they weren't. Dai knew that the centaurs weren't fighting a war because a watchman wouldn't have been up there. All of the centaurs would have been sent off to fight, unless they were foals and women.
Dai growled to himself as he knew that he needed a very well-thought and planned out plan. They couldn't just rush into Moconia blindly like they did with the other races, except for the giants. They need a plan like the one they had for the giants. Rushing in blindly with the centaurs would only get the demon army he had slaughtered and Dai didn't want that to happen. He cared too much for his men and he had already lost them in the war with the giants. He didn't want to loose more soldiers because of his inability to think up of something that would work.
