章 1: The voice in the dream
Age of heroes and gods, the game that started a year and a half ago and took control of the gaming world, the first to realice the long seeked dream virtual reality inmersion, it came out of nowhere and the creators were unknown, there was huge controversy about it, but this all were forgoten quite fast, it wast just way to exciting to play as a total new wide world was open suddenly and billions of people started to play and in between all the players was one that was outstanding even compared to the other better ones, for people on our society it was difficult to go against the monsters and even other people inside the game and even thought they started to adapt, it was difficult, the game was way to realistic and it made people hesitate or feel fear, but he didn't have it, even profesional people that fights and killed in real world could only be amased when he went and fought a mounstrous giant all by himself with a big smile on his face.
This man was actualy a 16 years teenager called Apfel Hunt, he loved this place were magic and skills, swords and bows, monsters and heroes existed, he felt like he was free for the first time, the exilarating adrenaline of battle made him feel just like being himself for the first time, he was a genius of war that loved the old old ways of fighting as much as he loved women.
Today was expecialy exciting as a special event happened, the mission was to beat an enemy invasion and kill the final boss, the general. Legion came in waves after waves and the players were dimening fast, in the end only the 9 bigger clan masters remained with some elites each, and only one solo player totaly misplaced in there as the final wave with the boss and his personal guards atacked, the clan masters gave fierce battle against the guards but in less than 15 minutes there was only one player remain standing against the boss and tens of guards, the clash was ferocious, he ran around without stop pulling arrow after arrow, cutting flesh left and right and with incredible dexterity dodging fatal strikes that surely with a simple graze would finish him, and finally after who knows how much time he came to a stop and all the guards became dust.
The boss was still standing with such little health that a touch would have killed him, but the solo player, couldn't move anymore, he didn't have any potion left of any kind, 0 mp, 0 stamina and his hp was so low it almost couldn't be seen. But he just couldn't give up, coming to this point and not finishing being so close was really hearthbreaking, and the boss coming to him slowly was despearing to thouse seeing him, no one to help him, totally alone, everyone could only lament at this, but if one were able to see his face they they would have seen him grinning as if his plan just worked and when the boss was a meter away he made his last move, he simply let go of himself and began to fall facefirst to the earth as he didn't have any strengh left but a knife was on his hand, and with the fall he escaped from death as a sword trust took the place his head was, passing over him, and the knife embed itself to the feet of the monsters commander and dust filled the air.
Just to remember it now made his blood boil, but he was just way to exhausted and the world of dreams took over as a soft voice called "Young hero, you've demostrated your great progress in battle and your incredible potencial has no limit, i'm sorry to say this as you live in a peaceful world but this world needs your abilities to be saved, i shall give you my blessing and give you time to rise, then we shall see each other again, follow your heart and become the strongest, even if you can't see me, my heart will be with you, now be awaken as the greatest ever." He coudn't even see her as darkness took over.
