As my team walked behind the Pokemon Center we came across a Pokemon battle. Wondering what was going on I decided to ask a random stranger. However when I had decided to do so I noticed something about myself. I had changed a lot in these few days. Now I had a basic sense of trust towards people not to harm me immediately. It left me with a strange feeling at the thought.
"Hello there good sir could you tell me what's going on," I asked a random guy. "Oh are you new around here," he asked in turn "well you see newcomer that man over there is Pelago he's our town's Battlefest contestant."
Thinking back into my memories I realized I knew nothing of this Battlefest. "So what's this Battlefest," I asked trying to appear as a deeply intrigued student. This seemed to stop the man in shock as he processed the news that someone didn't know what the Battlefest was. "You must be one of them country bumpkins that's even more reclusive than our little town. You see the Battlefest was created many years ago as a competition between different trainers. This battle doesn't have the silly rules of restraining a Pokemon's strength like in the Pokemon League. The Top five winners in this competition get the right to challenge the Elite Four. You know who the Elite Four is yes," the man asked in worry.
Nodding my head he continued "That's why these Battlefests are such a big deal. Why not try it out and see what you think. If you win today's match and get a Contestant Point I might trade you for 5 Rare Candies." When I had fully processed what the man had taught me I immediately took to the field asking around where to sign up. Thankfully a nice old couple pointed the way for me, and I made my way over to a booth.
"Good morning sir would you like to sign up as part of the Battlefest. Today we have the single contest which is just you and your partner fighting it out, the doubles contest which is a double battle between you and the other contestants, or do you wish to take part in the royal. This is where you fight with just your Partner in a large scale battle where everyone dukes it out at once. The winner will get 10 Contestant Points unlike the other modes which only give one," the woman explained everything to me.
Smiling with greed as I thought of trading with the man earlier for 50 Rare Candies. If I did that then I wouldn't need to train another day with Emblaze we would be a great team together. After all level 100 is the max a Pokemon can reach so why wouldn't I abuse that fact.
"Host a single Pokemon may only ever take 5 Rare Candies through out it's life without it killing it."
Immediately my smile froze, and started to appear forced. System then doesn't that mean I can't get past level 10 for Emblaze.
"Don't worry host you can buy levels for you Pokemon from the systems shop. After all you can't train levels anymore when you gained me, but I allow you to improve your Pokemon's stats past leveling up infinitely."
Sighing in relief I realized for the first time; recovering from greed, what I was doing. Only now that I was in this place deciding on what to did I realize it to late to do anything else. Well if I win this than Charmander will go up to level 10 I reasoned to myself. Nodding my head I said "I would like to be part of the Battle Royal." This would be a great test for the new abilities me, and my partner had picked up though training, and life and death battles. This time we weren't in a perilous battle so we could enjoy ourselves for the first time.
"That's great sir come this way and we'll lead you to the waiting field," the woman said while getting up from her seat. Following her we had finally made it to our destination. The field was enormous. In fact it would most likely house a good couple of football fields in my old life. The trainers were only allowed on the rim of the field while all the Pokemon went to the center minus the Rattata that was following me. This left Rattata in a scary disposition where it was alone while surrounded by other people.
A man from the crowd walked onto a stage that was set next to the field. After he got seated on a chair up top he started talking. "Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the Battlefest Royal. Here we will test every single person's ability to communicate with there Pokemon even in the worst conditions. These contestants will fight each other all at once. The Pokemon that is left at the end will be the winner. Today we have over 100 entries so give a applause to these brave men and women.
You all may be wondering what the prize is. I wish to announce to you all that the winner shall receive 10 Contestant points. To those that don't know the values of such things here is a reminder of what they can be used for. They can be used to trade for many items that we have gathered across the world. I wish to also announce that every point can be used as a Gym Badge if they wish to go through that Pokemon league during the later stages. That way they can skip them Gym Battles while getting to the good part quickly."
When the man had said this the whole crowd was in a roar as they now knew the value of 10 Contestant Points. At the center of the field was a certain lovable Charmander that was listening in to everything that had happened. "To think my owner would react in such a way at the mention to Rare Candies they must be something," Emblaze mumbled to himself.
To the Pokemon that had heard him most of them thought back to their own experiences with it. The miraculous candy had been of little help to most of them due to them using them as soon as they had hatched.
They later found out with their trainers that this was the least effective method of using them. Other Pokemon couldn't help, but to comment on how lucky the Pokemon was to be getting it now instead of when it was younger. Emblaze wasn't a idiot; he immediately knew the value of what he was getting if he won. He could see the other Pokemon's looks around him when he mentioned the candy. He knew that once more he needed to win this battle.
----------------------------------Back With The Trainers--------------------------------------
Among the trainers I sat there obviously extremely nervous now that the Greed had vanished. We all new that an extraordinary prize was at stake, and each of us vowed to ourselves to return with it, but this was even more true for me. I had at least 5 rare candies at stake, so with a nervous heart I set to do what was needed.
"Now, Now. The trainers down there want to get started," the man up on his thrown said to the audience "As such on the count of three the battle will start." Immediately I stood up and felt a connection once more with Emblaze. The trust between both of us from our life and death experiences allowed us to always whenever we want use Synchronization. I somehow instinctively knew this which I assumed was the ability's doing.
"3, 2, 1," and when the word "Go" was announced. Me and Emblaze blasted off into action. In a split second we knew each other's limits, and used them sending 5 scratches around us sending 5 Pokemon blasting into other Pokemon knocking them out for a total of 14 Pokemon.
Everything stopped in this one moment until it started "A roar exploded out from the audience enveloping us all. The other trainers looked at me with fear, and started sending there Pokemon to attack Emblaze in groups. Me and Emblaze however weren't willing to become a sitting target. We had mostly trained in speed and our Embers so we used just that.
Me and Emblaze dodged around our Opponents making due with the enemies faulty teamwork to beat them up. It took 5 groups of 3 Pokemon to make all the trainers realize that we were a true threat. All at once the remaining 110 or so Pokemon rushed our location.
The trainers tried to disrupt my focus trying to get there prize. If they could get that annoying Charmander out of the battle than the rest had a chance at winning. When all the Pokemon started surrounding us we decided to go with a bang. Charmander used his remaining 24 Aura to unleash a large Explosion underneath himself as he jumped into the air. Now only 8 Pokemon were left other than Emblaze. Getting ready to give up I remembered my Skill.
All of a sudden the young man that everyone was thinking to be defeated started Saying something.
Heal my partner before my eyes become my warrior and stand up once more. As battle gets hard and lives may be lost we as partners shall not depart. listen here my enemies for my warriors shall not fall. Go Go and do not fail for this is our stand
Some sort of glow enveloped the Charmander on the field. Everything clicked for the people nearby of why this man's Pokemon was so powerful. "Look ladies and gentlemen, we have a certified Aura Guardian on our hands," the announcer said in excitement. This event was bound to be a world breaking event. The last Aura Guardian had appeared around 10 years before, and each one is bound for greatness.
Everyone looked back towards this boy's Pokemon. The Pokemon had been fully healed, yet when they looked back at the boy they noticed he had signs of exhaustion and pain. Once more the Pokemon burst forwards towards this time a Oddish. With a close range Ember it fainted. In this fashion one after the other all the Pokemon were defeated by this one. A single Charmander that was backed by a Aura Guardian.
That was until something amazing happened. One of the earlier first stage Pokemon that had fainted started evolving. However it wasn't just one there was two. There was a Solrock and a Lunastone that had been hit into each other earlier during the beginning of the fight. Slowly they started to rise into the air while in a glow, and then raining down from the sky came two new Pokemon. They had fallen similar to two meteors.
They appeared to be a fusion between the other counter part. They had also each gained hands made of the same material as them. One hand however for each one appeared to be in reverse to each other as one was for attacking and the other defending. On top of this each Pokemon's body was in reverse of each other. What I meant by this was that one Pokemon's left side was Solrock while the other Pokemon left side was a Lunastone. It appeared they had made some deal between them when exchanging there bodies.
Dashing over towards them Emblaze tried to take them out before they new anything, but it appeared that this wouldn't work as each Pokemon had established some kind of telepathy with each other. This meant that when Emblaze appeared in front of the opponents they could quickly counter attack. They now were completely in sinc with each other similar to me and Emblaze. "Interesting," I couldn't help but shout out loud in excitement as I finally understood the joy in battling Pokemon.
Knowing that this would be a all for nothing moment; me and Emblaze first Activated Vengeful Aura. This ended up scaring the two Pokemon as they slowed down, but we were not finished. Gathering our Aura into our breaths we ran up to the two, and let out a attack that had three fourths of our power.
The explosion immediately knocked one of them out, however we watched as the other one wasn't effected at all. Our only option was now to use a Z move. Performing the needed moves for Breakneck Blitz we prepared to blast off. I had theorized once before that the Z moves worked when a Pokemon and his trainer were synchronized. Just like I had previously thought out the Z move worked without any failures.
The crystals acted as temporary synchronizers. This meant that when the moves were performed for the Z move we were sent blasting off this time hitting the other Pokemon and taking it down. Me and Emblaze had won the battle completely dominating everything since the beginning.
I have gotten done what needed to be done. Now I can start writing Pokemon stories again. Woop!!!
Also this is my present for you all. This is the first Special Chapter for Training Pokemon. Special Chapters are just Chapters that have reached a minimum of 1800 words. This example however has reached an astonishing 2100. So enjoy.
Also this one is now revised.
