With Jayne in his lap, Ronnie picked the phone.
"Hello?"
"Understood!... I'll be there right away…. Yes.." and he hung up.
Ronnie then told his wife, "Jayne I've something important to take care of. You go home with the driver now. I'll come back home soon." He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead.
"Ronnie!" Jayne pouted.
"I'll come back soon baby!" he kissed her pouty lips.
Jayne reluctantly let go of him. She didn't feel at peace this time to send off Ronnie.
"Ahh baby! Don't you worry.. I'll get back to you soon!" He brushed his nose against her and scooped up his wife in his arms and walked out of his office.
Since it was work, Jayne very well knew she couldn't interfere. Her husband was no ordinary man. He belonged more to the country than to herself. Unwillingly she had to leave.
Ronnie's office was directly connected to the main entrance privately. So, he didn't have to pass by his staff. He carried his wife out in his arms and placed her in the car and shut the door for her.
"I'll be waiting for you Ron… please come back soon.." Jayne said with a worried look.
Ronnie flashed his million dollar smile, "I'll see you soon baby! Don't forget we still have to keep "trying" He winked at her.
"How on earth can you think of all this at this moment Ronnie! Pervert!" Jayne snapped back.
The car then drove off...
Jayne kept looking at him until the car turned right at the end of the road.
Even after reaching home, she was anxiously waiting for Ronnie's return. She felt like she was on her wits ends. She couldn't sit, stand, eat or sleep peacefully. Never before had she felt so perturbed and restless. She kept pacing back and forth in her room.
Mrs Sona Bhat could feel that something was amiss with her usually cheerful daughter. "Beta, what's wrong? You look so distressed. Didn't the deal go well?" She sat down on the couch and asked her daughter to sit next to her.
Jayne didn't want both parents to worry. She simply said, "No Mama. Everything went great. We successfully signed them all. I don't know why but I feel like a bundle of nerves." She rested her head on her mother's lap.
Mrs Sona Bhat ran her hands through her daughter's hair. "Don't worry beta. We're all here. You just close your eyes and lie down. I'm here."
Jayne tried to calm down but she just couldn't..

Daniel West had followed the couple with his head lowered.
Ronnie turned around, "Dan, prepare the car! We'll be going to the Military Headquarters!"
"Understood boss!" Daniel West dashed away.
Ronnie went back to his office to get his jacket and other documents. By then, Daniel West was waiting. They sped away.
On reaching the Military Headquarters, the Defence Secretary and the other Chiefs reported to Ronnie.
The Defence Secretary spoke up as they kept walking, "Sir, we've sealed all the International borders. Right now, the terrorist gang have been hiding inside. The location of their hideout is what we're tracking now."
Just then another officer came running to the office, "Sir, we've located their hideout."
Ronnie immediately announced, "Get the Army and Police surround the location. Get the Airforce and Navy on standby near the location for further orders! Attack!"
Ronnie was well trained to handle all possible consequences. Be it climbing a mountain or diving into the deep sea. If required he could even plunge into action to save the lives of his countrymen.
Today, was one such instance. He himself took charge and drove to the hideout which was now surrounded by the Police and the Army. It was located next to the sea. The terrorists had hid themselves in a desolate house.
Along with the soldiers, he barged inside the house where the terrorists were in hiding.
The terrorist gang wore identical black-coloured clothes. They were covered from head to toe including their faces except their eyes.
After a prolonged fight, Ronnie and his team were successful in arresting the gang. The soldiers took them away.
The Police and Army personnel surrounding the hideout then arrested the terrorist gang and left.
The Chiefs too followed.
They all failed to notice that Ronnie hadn't arrived yet.
The Defence Secretary suddenly remembered that Ronnie was missing. Feeling something amiss, he took a few soldiers and went inside again.
Ronnie's chest rose and fell with rapid breaths. He tried to get his breathing to normal once the terrorist gang was taken away. He had bruises all over. He massaged the back of his neck which was slightly aching.
Just then he heard a voice, "Don't relax yet Mr Ronnie Roy!"
