章 4: Boss of the room
John and Tang San stood side by side listening to the examiner explain about essence spirits and level of essence and they didn't have much of a reaction as John already knew all of this and explained it to Tang San so they just patiantely stood there
But what broke John and Tang San out of their stumpor was when the examiner used his essence spirit and became a wolf boy-eee I mean he became hairy, grew fangs and claws while his musceles bulged under his shirt giving him a wild apearence also a little bit macho but more than anything he cinda looks like Wolverin
Then one kid started crying from his apearence to witch he responded by picking him up by his shirt and continuing his explanation before ploping him back dow and initiating spirit awakening in the boy
As in the manhua he got a hankerchif to be his essence spirit and then he went over to a shyni blue ball presented by the examiner to test his essence level witch is as expected zero but in the proces he leaves his snot all over the ball it was disgusting for John to even look at but the examiner then used the boy's hankerchif to wipe off the snot
And so the examination began and the kid after him was a chubby one witch got a cooking spade then a skinny one witch got all depresed when he got a bowl and so on and so on they all had a essence evel of zero
It all continued untill a pink haired girl with twin tails came forth and when her spirit awakened everybody besides John and Tang San began to lough while her world crumbeled
She got a tool spirit river grass otherwise known as a junk spirit making her cry 2 fountains from her eyes it also didn't help the fact that she had a essence level if zero
She went away in a terrible state with snot and tears covering her but after her Tang San followed up
He awakened river grass and everyone began mocking him with sneers and leers soon folowing after mocking so the examiner seeing the junk spirit prepared to leave but was stoped by Tang San complaining that he didn't test his essence level
The examiner handed him the ball and to the austonishment of all besides John when Tang San touched the ball it glowed brightly like crismas tree
When people saw the phenomena they questuoned what hapoened especialy the village elder and the ansver shocked them
The examenet explained what happened in full detail to everyone else and they were especially doumbfounded when he told them about essence level harmonisation but that wasn't what got John excited to him the exciting part was the twich Tang San has in his left hand
The village people all had different emotions as some complained and some were happy but they were sll prepared to leave untill Tang San stoped them again
"Examiner you still haven't tested my friend" Tang San said pointing at John as the village elder finally came back to realyti and realyzed that it was the truth but not only the other people even the examiner was astounded at how unnoticable could John bee he was like air
The head examiner then went over to John and initiated the awakening process after witch John's body transfoemed to the body of a monster
Out of John's back grew 8 flexible but hard spider legs while most of his body got covered in chitin making it like body armor for him and most frightening of all he grew 6 more bright red, menecing eyes while one if his existing ones turned black with red veins witch he closed before anyone could see what happened but the total count of his eyes was now eight but it didn't stop there his fangs also grew and became like two small dagers and on his back grew a ghastly white face
All in all he had a really menecing apearence scaring all the children and adults well besides Tang San and the examiner
"Kid put your hand on the ball" The examiner said with an obviously excited voice
When John put his hand on the ball it brightly glowed and John got the same level of essence as Tang San essence level harmonisation
"Ha ha ha kid you are a genious you have a beast essence spirit of the man faced spider and the essence level of essence spirit harmonisation" The examiner chearfully loughed and so the examination came to a close
While everybody was going back to their homes talking about John and Tang San the most Johnt went with Tang San to his house with the excuse of training while having his usuall cold poker face but internaly he way bursting with happynes
(Idiots like I would pick any old man faced spider althou the result was unexpected it is still a result I am happy with) He was trully felling happynes right now
Let's rewind a few minutes to the moment John awakened his essence spirit
As John was standing there now transformed he felt s burst of information flood his brain like a dam that was holding back the information just bursted leaving all of the information to him
It was a messege from the Administrator and it read as follows "John this is the Aministratir and I just want to tell you that you didn't awake a man faced spider but their predesecor. As when you were reincarnating you didn't state witch spider type your essence spirit should be I picked the strongest one the Man eating spider emoeror witch is an extinct species so I had to inform you of this as a formalyti"
Back to present
(But this is good too now that they think that it is just a man faced spieder essence spirit Spirit hall won't come after me he he he how lucky I just hope Bibi Dong doesn't eat me once I conqer her but that is for the future and in the future I am going to do this and that and fu fu fu... alright het your head back in the game John focus now what follows next in the storyline) Thought John as he scemed and manipulated thinking and rethinking his formula to sucess while an evil grin appeared on his face
Tang San noticing the evil grin on his friend's face had shiveres run thru his back whike his senses were going haywire telling him to run away so he knew that whoever John was thinking about was goung ti have a bad day so he ofered a silent prayer not knowing that the one he was praying to was himself and that it would not be a bad day but a bad life
"Oi John are you alryght you have a wierd smile on your face" Tang San nudged John a little as he was saying that bringing John to look at Tang San
(Oh yea Tang San is going to show his twin spirits to his father then go meet his bunny girl) Tang San's words reminded about what is going to happen and bringing a little grief to John as even thou he can remember everything from this life thanks to his wish that didn't mean he fully remembered stuff from his past life
"Oh it is nothing San but can I follow you back home as if I get to the orphanege the other children are going to swarm me" Returning to his usuall cold expresion John tried to bullshit his way thru this one althou it wasn't all lies as the children would defenitely swarm him witch would be trubelsome
"Yes of course John" Said Tang San as he trusted John greatly and even thou he didn't trust him enough to reveal anything about his past life he trusted John wery much
John seeing that Tang San agreet only slightly noded while thinking (As the saying goes the best bullshit is horseshit ehhh no it was the best lies are the ones with truth in them)
The rest of the way they were both silent untill they arived infront of Tang San's house at witch point the elder burst into it like in the manhuna just to stumble upon a sleeping Tang Hao
Then the rest plays out the same way with the elder repramending Tang San's father and all untill he leaves but this time there is a little differnce and that is John
As the elder left he went towards the orphanege while Tang San and John were left with Tang Hao
At this point Tang Hao asks in his usuall slopy and tired manner about Tang San's spirit to witch Tang San responds by showing him the spirit mark yet that all changed when he showed Tang Hao his second spirit
The bottle witch Tang Hao was drinking from was dropped and he rushed to hug Tang San huging him while crying and telling him to always protect the river grass with the hammer before he procedes to grab a blue cloth with witch he wraps Tang San's hand in while telling him not to reveal the mark to anyone before he turns to John and glares at him with a menecing gaze
"I know I won't tell a soul acctually I will tell you a secret of myne too" Saying so John procedes to activate both marks and on his left there is a mark of a spider while John is in the transformed body but this time with both eyes normal while on the right there is a snowflake and a little blue iceicle above it
Tang San was stunned for a bit before he turns to his father "Don't worry father you can trust John"
"Alright I will trust you son and didn't you say something about wanting to forge then look well" While talking Tang Hao walk's over to the anvil but when he stood infront of it he stoped talking and started hating the metal before punding it with his hamer
Each hit was flawless with a fluid motion to all of them while the strikes allways hit the areas they are suposed to hit to get out the most impurities
In a grand total of 36 strikes Tang San was shocked and baffeled by his father and the technique while John was taken back a bit as even thou he knew this was going to happen it is nevertheless a breath taking techique
After the ending of the techique Tang San stated out all of what he could see and then went over to try himself while John knowing that it was still bright outside decided to stay with Tang San and Tang Hao to try his hand at forgng
So the hours went by utill night came and it was time for John to reluncntly go to the orphanege
Ariving at the orphanege it happened just as John expected it all the children swarmed him asking him to transform while the women of the orphanege were incapable of preventing them from clinging to John
Acctually John didn't mind showing them his transformation and so he did but what he did mind was when somebody asks him to show his transformation and then cries or runs away in fright upon seeing it and thst is just what happened with the kids
The women running the orphanege had to extend a lot of energy to calm all of the children down while keeping themselves calm from the fright they recieved from John
Seeing the mayham he coused John reverted back and went to sleep as he didn't even feel hunger from the excitement of him becoming a doulou
The next morning John woke up a little later than ussual but still earlyer than the whole orphanege
He got dressed in his best clothes witch is a black hoody, black pants and black leather boots, put his stuff in a leather bag and wrote a farewell note while heading towards Tang San's home as that is the place where the elder is going to pick us up
Upon arrival he saw Tang San crying inside his home witch didn't look like it belonged to him as it was too clean it was simply too big a difference from the previous dirty appearence
John tried to calm Tang San down asking what's wrong while knowing full well what happened yet he had to pretend
"Father is gone *sniff* *sniff* he left me a note" Tang San calmed down a bit before handing a note to John for him to read
It read exactly the same as in the manhwa besides a little difderence and that is a certain sentence
"The hammer technique is probably the only thing for you to remember me by go practice it with your friend when you miss me" Tha friend part isn't supposed to be there
Yes it is a small difference yet this is still something as it means that John can start shaping his future as he likes
After crying his eyes out and John calming him down they follow the village elder to Notan beginners academy dorm 7
Arriving infront of the entrance the elder gives them a few 'words if ecouregment' before walking around town embarresing himself at every step
John and Tang San shrug it off as they know the elder's personalyti is so they just enter inside the dorm
Inside there is a chubby kid pounding on the face of another kid screaming that he is the boss while the other kids are just hiding
Then the kid notices Tang San and John while a fire burns in his eyes he goes over to them and challenges them indicating that this kid obviously likes to fight and ascert dominence
Tang San and John refused but then a sweet and mellow voice rang out from the entrance
"The winner is the boss?" It was obviously a female childs voice and this was what got John excited althou he isn't a pedophile
When John and Tang San turned to the source of the voice they saw a small girl in pink and blue clothes with pink eyes and brown hair tied into a very long pony tail
John knew who that person was it is Tang San's wife Xiao Wu
"Of course!The strongest is the boss!After I finish dealing with these guys, it's your turn!" The chubby kid furiousky ansvered while picking his nose
"No need, let's all fight" Was the girls response but unlike in the manhuna where the guy said a couple more words the girl imediately rushed at him giving him a kick to the face witch sent hin flying towards Tang San
Tang San grabed him and flung him back while in the next cuple if moments they excganged techiques untill Tang San tried to attack her from behind but was tangeled by her long pony tail and kicked
Then she cutely wispered "I win" before kicking off Tang San all the while John was distancing himself from them but also keeping an eye in them
Then the girl introdiced herself as Xiao Wu the Wu from Tiao Wu and told everybody to call her Xiao Wu Jie
John just stood there not minding them whily tryng to be like air unnoticable
But as unluck would have it in store for him Xiao Wu turned to him and recognized him as an opponent sending a kick to his face almos breaking her bones witch resulted in her falling to the ground while cluching her leg
How?Why? Simple becouse he has enough strenght to support himself from her kick while on the day of the awakening ceremony he awakened much more that just his essence spirit
John also awakened his kagune and as Kaneki Ken proved a ghoul's skin is kichen knife proof so of course he wouldn't be injured
Looking around himself he noticed all of the other children's eyes poping out not believing what they just saw Tang San included
"I guess I should introduce myself I am John" And so it was established that John is the boss of the room
