Xing looked at the direction she felt that invisible person is and she could feel a big cold hand ruffling her hair.

Xing only felt gentleness from that touch even though it was cold and with a gust of wind, his presence disappeared too.

Xing looked through the window fluttering in wind to see an owl flying away.

An owl again! She thought.

This is the third time she is seeing that owl. Aren't they said to be of ill-omen? Why do I keep seeing them.?
