"Duh, I can see you."
Sheen awkwardly answered, trying to keep her eyes somewhere else other than Blue's eyes.
"You're here."
She points at him and pokes his arms twice, thrice and notice that Blue got thin yet his arms got muscular.
"Oh, do you work out?"
She asks still poking at his arms, forgetting the ambiance, then Blue suddenly grabbed Sheen's hands and held them close to his chest.
"Wha-what are you doing?"
Sheen felt embarrassed, her face glows red like Rudolf's nose and her heartbeat can be almost heard outside.
She knows what is going to happen, there's a part of her that wants to do it, but she also wants to do it with another person- with that special person.
Blue's face got closer to Sheen, attempting to kiss her but the door in front of them suddenly opened and they almost pushed each other away, making Sheen fall down on her feet.
Their co-worker got shocked when she saw Sheen on the floor and went on to help her.
Blue is hesitant to assist Sheen to get back on her feet but decided to go back to his work.
He left feeling guilt and embarrassment, but mostly, pain.
Sheen watches as her best friend leave, hearing his footsteps fading like her heart beats' pace.
She knows how Blue feels, she knows what it feels, yet she decided to do the same thing that hurt her in the past.
"Sheen, you left your initial plot in your table, I thought you might need to pass it to Boss, right?"
Her colleague hands her the papers.
"Drown within," the title says.
The story is about a girl who is mentally ill, her life story will be unveiled in every page on how she got back on the track and lived her life to the fullest.
This is not the story that she needs to pass, it has to be a romance genre book.
She put the papers inside her drawer and started to take down some plots that pop in her mind, but none of them is unique.
It is all based on some story or some books she had encountered before, vampires, princess, ghosts, cancer patients, gangsters and such.
"Sheen, it's time to go home."
Blue shyly moved towards her.
She checks the time and it's alright pass 10 P.M.
She tidies up her desk and takes her bag.
"Let's go home."
She forgot what happened earlier, her mind is occupied by the story she needs.
"Uhm, we good?"
Blue asks, still wondering if Sheen does not hold any grudge against what he did.
"Yeah, yeah. Why?" Sheen normally answered.
Their shoes' tapping sound echoes around the silent halls, it's as if they are the only ones left in the building.
"Uh, well, it's... Nothing." He said brushing his hair, a smile formed and he gathered the happiness that is normally in him,
"So, what's your problem?"
Sheen was silent for a while, still preoccupied with the story.
"Uh, wait!"
She stopped, they are a foot outside the building when the breeze brushed against her skin, remembering the fluffy jacket she left.
"Ugh, I forgot my jacket!" She went inside the building,
"You can leave without me!", was the only thing Blue can hear, it was so faint because of the door that closes after the second she went inside.
"Why can't you just ask me to lend you my jacket?"
He mumbles while typing his message to Sheen that he will wait outside.
Sheen gracefully walks to the office, so slow like a cat, so swift like-- "Fudge!" she hides behind the wall.
"Why is he standing in front of the office?" She takes another peek and he is already holding her jacket.
"What is he doing that's my jacket!" she whispers,
"Why is he here? I thought he left earlier?" asking herself before her phone received Blue's message.
The tone attracts his attention who is already passing by.
He looked at his right and saw Sheen, holding her phone on her other hand and her bag covering her face on the other.
Her face is as red as if blood is ready to burst from it. "Sheen," he called out.
He walks toward her and stands in front.
"My, it's late. Are you here for this?"
He hands her jacket, smiling sweetly.
Her heartbeat raced, and he notices that she was uncomfortable.
"Sorry, I was about to drop by your house and when I saw that, I thought that I should give you your precious jacket."
He says, the smile not fading.
"Stupid!" she thought.
He knows that that jacket was his parting gift before he left for Paris.
It was five years ago, and ever since, there was not a week that she did not wear the jacket.
Yet, he might've forgotten about that.
"Thank you," was all she can say.
She took the jacket and went on her way.
"Can I take you home?"
She stops, take her home? What is the meaning of that? After he left her with a broken heart, does he think that she is that easy?
"What do you think of me? Like those filthy girls you take home every night? After you broke my heart, is that how you see me now?" she burst out, teary-eyed facing him.
He seems shocked, he can't understand what she is babbling about. She suddenly got embarrassed and turned red once more.
"May I correct myself? Can I accompany you to your home?" he said, half laughing.
Sheen begged the gods to make her disappear this instance. She once again acted impulsively without taking any thought.
He is still smiling, and that irritated Sheen, did he listen to a word she said?
Clenching her fists, she ran away, again.
"You're too blind." he whispers before Sheen disappears.
