章 45: Question

Hypothetically speaking, for A Song of Ice and Fire fanfic, would you rather have it set during the Game of Thrones series with Daenerys and Jon, or during a period before like during the Mad King's reign or before Aegon the Conqueror conquered Westeros.

I already have several ideas and I know that I can write a story even if it is pre-canon, I just need to know if people would prefer it being in line with the books and TV series, or something a little more different.
