章 23: Dream...
Anna walks out of the washroom after taking shower wearing bathrobe. Xian tries to peep at her as was dying with curiosity of her looks when she walks of out of the bath. He tries to control himself after seeing her naked legs and bathrobe covering only her butts. His face tries to turn red. To avoid getting caught of his actions he quickly switch his position to the other side pretending to be sleeping. Anna thinks the same and walks towards her closet to grab her night wear. She then turns and check at Xian before walking at his back to change the dress.
Xian kept his eyes close but could hear the voice. He was able to relate what she is doing. He was imagining the scene hearing the small voices. "I think she is selecting something to wear, and now she is going somewhere, probably to the bathroom again. Wait, there is no sound of door opening. Hell, is she changing the dress in the room itself. Oh my god, shall I turn and steal a small glance of it. No I can't do that. Wait, there is some sound. Oh my god, she has removed her robe. I can hear her struggling with the clothes. Man, these are the hardest minutes of my life." Xian speaks to himself until he hears the footsteps again. "Ohhh...she is finally done" he speaks to himself calming himself down.
Anna grabs the blanket from her closet and picks up her pillow while walking towards the couch on the other side of the room. She switch off the main light and on the night bulb before throwing the pillow and blanket on the couch. After checking everything for the last time she throws herself at the couch and immediately doze off to sleep. It's been a long day for her.
Xian opens his eyes after five minutes as he could hear sweet snoring voice from other part of the room. He was sure she is asleep and thus dares to open his eyes. He was getting to know Anna now and as per his study, she will throw him out of her house in the midnight as well if come to know that he has fooled her. He turns towards the couch and places both his hands under his head on one side giving a height to his head to watch her angel sleeping. "She is so pretty even in her night-wear. Opss her blanket is about to fall. Shall I go and help her. What if she is not asleep and wakes up. No I can't sleep like this she will catch the cold." Xian speaks to himself and wakes up from the bed without making any noise. He starts walking towards her while tapping only his toes on floor to avoid any sound, once he reach her. He picks up the blanket and covers her. She holds his hand and he gets a mini heart attack.
Xian turns towards Anna but finds her sleeping peacefully. She pull him towards her wrapping his arm tightly making him sit on the floor next to her. "I am sorry" Xian speaks in soft voice and places a peck on her lips. She smiles as if dreaming something good and loosens her grip. Xian catches his breath back and quickly grab the opportunity to take back his hand and walk silently back to his bed.
Anna suddenly feels something and opens her eyes. "Was this a dream or he was actually here" She speaks to herself while checking at Xian who pretends to snore to give a sign to Anna that he is sleeping. "I think it was my dream, but how the hell can I dream something like this. Anna you are suppose to keep up distance from him. Don't fall for his charming face. But how can one ignore him" Anna brain and heart keep quarreling for the same while she stares at Xian face. "I am not compatible for you. You deserve someone better than me" she speaks out in soft voice without realizing that Xian heard her. A small tear falls from her eyes and she turns on the other side facing back towards Xian. "What was the meaning of her words, is something bothering her. How can she say that not compatible to me" Xian speaks to himself. A sharp pain hits his heart when he hears Anna's slow weeping sound. "I need to investigate on it, something is surely bothering her". He sleeps after informing himself of the work he need to assign to Ciao tomorrow as the first thing.
