Once the instructor had risen she'd gone off on a long list of mannerisms and such that I already knew by heart, and then attempted to explain it to me.
"When you sit at a table with his majesty-" I turned before finally cutting in gracefully.
"Madame, pardon me, but I have no need for a mannerisms lecture, I know them by heart already. You were hired to teach dance to me, no?" I was irritated by the formality but I couldn't request her not to be formal either, adding more irritation.
"Eh, y-you do? W-well then let's immediately begin dancing then." I had to endure an hour of this before finally being free to do more productive things.

"Thank goodness that's over!" I stretched my arms over my head and leaned against a pillar in relief, and I heard my guard chuckle and I turned to him. His expression was one at war with himself, torn between amusement and disapproval.
"Come along, I need to finish a document today, that lessons cut into that alloted time." again the man seemed at war and I finally asked him why when we reached my office and had closed it's door.
"Why do you look like your arguing with yourself? I doubt theirs much of a reason to go-to war with oneself." I ask lightly and he huffs before replying to my question.
"You don't act like a child at all." I quirked an eyebrow before gesturing for him to continue.
"Well, I'm torn between telling you off for not playing with other children, and praising you for diligently studying everything. Your not normal and someone needs to curb this side of you before it becomes too ingrained." I rolled my eyes at I dropped into my seat and began to finish the assignment I had been given. It was a comprehensive list of all the places that had guards now, and the ones that didn't too. It was annoying but I was pretty much almost done thank goodness.
Eventually I looked up and saw him staring intently at me. His face was clouded in an emotion I couldn't identify, his young face looked decades older with that look on.
"You look shady when you stare like that." I say and he recoils at those words before snapping back.
"And you look indistinguishable from a porcelain doll before you open your mouth!"
