A few hours before breakfast.
Shen Xiannu and Shen Tiankong were quite mad. Actually, scratch that, they were furious.
The reason? They had just left Glory City to gain battle experience by hunting Demon Beast.
As such, reason stand's that their opponents would be Demon Beast's, right?
Now imagine their surprise when in the middle of the night they suddenly peak up the presence of fifteen Demon Spiritualists, all of them in the Black Gold realm.
And if that wasn't enough, seven of them where are quite familiar.
If they're probing where right, then they were Sacred family's elders.
Looking toward's her husband, Shen Xiannu can't help but ask.
"Husband, is it only me, but aren't seven of those following us elder's from the Sacred family?"
Hearing this, Shen Tiankong can't help but nod his head, with a complex expression on his face.
"Indeed."
Hearing his approval, she can't help but shake her head in disappointment.
"Truly now, how great the Sacred family has fallen. As for the other eight, I haven't felt their signature before, as such from the information we know till now they should be members of the Dark Guild..."
"Yes. But in a way this is understandable. Both the Sacred Family and the Dark Guild are a sickness that is the result of the action's taken by the nobility of Glory City themselves."
"It is only natural that they would ally themselves, after all, while the results are different, the path they take is the same..."
"The Dark Guild was created because of a clan that had the same behavior as the Sacred family, while the Sacred family was born from the corruption that has plagued Glory City for centuries."
"Still, leaving those matters aside, husband, how show we deal with them? Should we kill them all and continue on?"
Looking toward's his wife, Shen Tiankong can't help but shudder.
His wife has become very cruel since their son has been born. If she found someone or something threatening for their son she would generally eliminate that threat. That's how quite a number of corrupted elders from different clan have 'disappeared'. As for her enemy's she has either taken to destroy them or disposing of them without batting an eye.
To put it bluntly, she has become someone you would love as an ally, and be scared **** to have as an enemy. But of course not many in Glory City knew of this. Actually, those that knew could be counted with both hands.
Shaking his head, "No, it would be better if we could knock them out and bring them afterward to Ye Zong, where we could interrogate them for information. Although we should be careful, quite a number of those we have mysteriously die, as such, now this would be a perfect chance. After all, Shen Hong wouldn't know of this, as such he wouldn't be able to interfere, and by the time he finds out we would have obtained what we wanted."
"Alright then, we will do as you have said."
As such both man and women, erase their presence while hiding themselves.
A few minutes later.
Steps could be heard.
"Elder Min, it seems we have lost their trails."
"How is this possible? Are you sure that they haven't found us out?"
"Yes sit. We have been following them from a distance, with a few members of my group specializing in tracking, as such they should not have been able to pick up on us till it was too late."
"Then how do you explain this?!"
As they were talking, two silhouettes move at fast speed, knocking out ten of their comrades in just a few moments.
"Be careful! W..."
He did not manage to finish, for he to was knocked out.
"Well, that was easy..."
What's the matter, husband? You sound almost disappointed."
"That's because I am. They were six of them that were five star Black Gold realm expert's, and they all fell in just one strike...
"Well, what do you expect. We knew we would become stronger when we accepted the cultivation techniques from our son. Really now, what he gave us makes what we knew till then all seem like nothing more than garbage..."
"Whatever. Let's tie them up and bring them to the City Lord's mansion. There's a long night ahead of us."
Time skip, morning breakfast.
Both Ye and Shen couple were surprised when they saw Ye Ziyun and Shen Wang enter the dining room while holding hands.
All four smile, knowing that the following weeks will be quite fun for them to watch...
