The reason being, that their daughter seems to have changed quite a bit since the last time they have seen her.
And not just in appearance, the air around her seems to have changed. She seems more confident, more natural.

"Good morning, mom, dad."
"Morning sweetie. You seem to be in a good mood. Did something happened."

Looking at her parents as they talk, Xiao Ning'er can't help but feel happy. After all seeing the love and pride their eyes hold as they look at her, well, there isn't a child that wouldn't be happy.

Both Ye Ziyun and Shen Wang have just awakened up as well, while they have each taken a shower, and changed cloth, then making they're way toward the dining room.
As Shen Wang was walking thou out the corridors of the City Lord mansion, towards the dining room, he sees Ye Ziyun.
"Morning Ziyun."
Turning her head toward's the voice, Ye Ziyun is happy to Shen Wang.
"Good morning, Shen Wang."
They both walk together towards the dining room when suddenly Shen Wang asks.
"So how did it go last night? Did you learn the name of you're Zanpakutō?"
"Um! The test wasn't that hard. All I had to do is put in practice what I learned in the last few years."
"I can't wait to show you what abilities it has!"
Here she looks at Shen Wang with expectation.
"What about you? Did you pass your test?"
Hearing this, Shen Wang has a grin on his face.
"Yep. My test was pretty easy as well. Although, I did need to spend some time afterward practicing. It seems that the easy part was gaining access. The hard part is gaining control over them."
"Same here. Although I prefer our Zanpakutō's over Demon Spirit's. They feel more natural compared to how I felt when we sow our parent's spar."
"Well, what do you expect, our Zanpakutō's are born from our souls themselves. They are part of us. In a way, you could say that they are another face of ours. So it's only natural that we will feel more at peace when using them, compared to those who integrate with Demon Spirit's, after all, no matter the compatibility, Demon Spirit's are from an outside force."
Hearing his argument, Ye Ziyun can't help but nod.
"Um, it's just like you said. Anyways, let's go, we don't want to be late for breakfast!"
As she takes hold of his hand, they both move towards the dining room.
Not knowing that the sight of them holding hand will greatly amuse their parents while giving their mothers teasing material.
