The sun is scorchingly hot in that afternoon. Maria continuously walked in the street trying to find a job. Sweat covered her face and her make up began to smear.
Maria became frustrated because since this morning until this time she can't find a job that can suit her. Every company she applied denied her application because according to them , she's not fit in the position. Or else, they don't have any vacancies.
She blamed her father for this. Maria, maybe still living her life she used to have before. Maybe she's not walking under that f**king sun!
Maybe she won't think of how to survive the incoming days. Maybe she won't mind finding a job because she have everything. Maybe her beloved mother is still here but no , she's gone. It's all gone. It vanished, one rainy evening.
"love, where are you going? why are you packing your clothes? "
her mother asked her father hysterically.
"I am going to leave this house! " her father said firmly
"but why? are you going to have a business trip abroad? " tears started to brim in her eyes
"no! I am going to leave this house and you, for good! "
he shouted at her
"please don't say that. what's the problem we can talk about it. I thought you love me? " her mother speak trying to reach her husband's arm. She started crying.
"I LOVED you, but not anymore! " he said as he step back trying to avoid her touch.
"you're boring! you're a word's machine! and I'm so out of it! "
he reasoned out
"please don't leave me, don't leave Maria. please, she will be really sad if she knows about this. "
she said trying to convince him.
"I don't care! I'll be living with my woman starting this day. "
"no! please don't leave. please, I promise you I will not nag you anymore. Please! "
her mother pleaded while crying continuously but he seemed not to noticed it and pass through her and left without saying a word.
Her mother continue to cry. Maria, which is hiding in her room came out and came to her mother to comfort her. She heard everything and she now understand why she heard noises of arguments every late night from her parents room. Her heart bleed for her mother.
"Mom, please don't cry. "
"your father leaved us and he said he will never coming back. " her mother cried continuously.
"don't worry mom, I'm still here and I love you. I will never leave you. "
she speak and hug her mother, rubbing her back to comfort her.
"but, how about you? you're just 16 yet you already experienced this kind of life. "
"it's okay mom, as long as we have each other we're going to be alright. " Maria said assuring her mother.
"what should we do now? "
Maria just keep quiet not able to know how to answer her crying mother. She silently prayed that they will get through this.
