章 2: ''He Betrayed Me...''

Song Xia pulled her suitcase from her room and was ready to go when someone immediately stopped her way.
''Mrs. Guan, please leave my way, I don't want to stay here for any longer!''
Song Xia coldly said to Lu Xioami (Guan Shan's mother) who stood in front of her, blocking her way.
Lu Xioami anxiously said, "Xiao Xia! Why are you suddenly leaving?! Is there a reason?! Did you have a fight with Xiao Shan?!

Ringing the doorbell, Song Xia suddenly smiled, thinking of something.

She regretted how she had actually blamed her parents for arranging her marriage when they were only thinking of her good, though the marriage didn't work out well in the end.
"I'm fine, Mom.. Let's go inside first.."
Li Wuxi immediately led her inside and was about to say something when she saw Song Xia's suitcase.
She asked excitedly, ''Xia, why did you bring a suitcase? Are you going to live here for a few days? That's great! I'm so happy!''
Song Xia couldn't help but chuckle a little as she said softly, ''I missed you very much, mom.''
Li Wuxi passed the suitcase to a maid and ordered her to clean up Song Xia's previous room and keep the luggage there.
She then held her daughter's hands and sat her down beside her as she asked, ''How is your husband doing?''
Song Xia's expression darkened as she heard her say 'your husband'.
She bit her lower lip as she couldn't bring up about her cheater husband and his mistress.
Song Xia gathered all her courage and angrily said, ''Mom, he's doing very well and will keep doing well without me!"
Li Wuxi frowned as she sighed, "Did you two fight? Xia, there must be a misunderstanding between you and Xiao Shan! You can't just leave home due to a lovers' spat!"
Song Xia became annoyed as she yelled, "Mom, what do you even know! It's not a lovers' fight! He literally cheated on me!"

"He only wanted to have the Song Family's inheritance and take over father's company. I gave up my life and love for him, but he never.. he even called me ugly..''
Li Wuxi was greatly startled. She quickly held Song Xia on her embrace and patted her back as she consoled her.

She paused before continuing, ''But there's no need to send someone over. I'm planning to go to the Guan Residence personally.''
Li Wuxi smiled worriedly and said, ''How can you face him after he did all that? Are you really okay going there?"
Song Xia gave a reassuring smile as she nodded her head.
Li Wuxi gently sighed, "If you want then, you can go there with Brother Han (A/N: Li Han, their family lawyer). I'll contact him to go over with you and taken care of this matter!''
Song Xia nodded with a smile. She suddenly said, "Mom, I have a favor to ask of you!"
Li Wuxi smiled back as she rubbed her head, "Tell Mother whatever your request is! As long as I can help, I'll try my best to fulfill it!"
Song Xia shyly said, "Mom, now that I'm getting divorced, can I get married to Brother Chen now? Please help me persuade Dad for this!"
Li Wuxi's smile froze. She awkwardly said, "Xiao Xia, this request.. I really can't do anything about it.."
Song Xia frowned as she complained, "Mom! You just said that you'll do whatever you can but you don't want to help me at all!"
Li Wuxi helplessly said, "Xiao Xia, actually.. Long Chen is getting married to Qiaoqiao.. So I can't help you with this."
Song Xia froze. "W-What did you just say, Mom?!"
Li Wuxi sighed as she took out an invitation card from somewhere and passed it to her. "Look at it yourself."
Song Xia received the card and looked at it. She froze when she saw the contents of the card...
