章 5: Why Is My Heart Hurting?

As we left the room I followed Sasha. I was pretty worried about her since she wouldn't really look at me. But she noticed and... pushed me down on the ground and ran away in a hurry.

Then I heard a cold voice behind me. "Hello Kalum. Do you need some help?" When I turned to look I saw it was Maria.

She reached out her hand and pulled me up. "Thank you Maria." I smiled at her genuinely.

"Don't worry about it." She said with a smile and then her face became cold again. "So. What happened between you and Sasha? It doesn't seem like she is that glad to see you."

"Ah. Well, umm, you see, uhhh..." I was being pretty nervous and fidgety which made Maria slap me.

"Stop being so wishy washy and tell me already Kalum." She said angrily and stomped with her foot.

I nodded with a sigh. "Alright. I will tell you." I took a deep breath and then I looked Maria straight in the eyes. "So what happened is, Maria, that me and Sasha were able to sense energy within the first week. Then we were called by the sage to have a basic explanation about magic and to get our next task." Then I began to fidget out of nervousness again. "So, so after that me and Sasha decided to, uhh, be fake lovers..." I looked away to the side and then I got a slap to the side of my face.

"What do you think you are doing? I heard from Luciel but I didn't think that... so you two kissed right? No wonder she is acting like that." She chuckled for a little while but I could see veins popping out of her forehead. Then she became cold again.

"Eh? What do you mean?" I asked her while being completely confused as to why she was acting a bit... crazy.

"Doesn't matter. You have to solve this problem with her by yourself. That is the only way you two can... I mean that you and her can make up." She then walked away, probably towards her room.

I walked towards Sasha's room and then I stood outside the door. I knocked and opened the door when I saw Luciel on top of Sasha. I was stunned and confused. Why was Luciel on top of Sasha? And is Sasha... crying? Why is she crying? Hmm, I should probably say something.

"So, uhh... Luciel, how about you get off Sasha for a sec?" I was completely stunned at first but I gradually forced a smile on my face.

Luciel got up and stood in the corner. Then I noticed his chest was there for all to see and it looked like some of Sasha's clothes were about to be ripped right off of her. Why is my heart... hurting?

I looked at Sasha with no clear expression. "So Sasha, what happened?" I asked her and she looked me in the eyes and then she...

"Kalum!!!" She cried and jumped into my chest. She was bawling like a baby and she was saying this and that but I couldn't understand her words.

"Shh, shh. Calm down Sasha. Just tell me what happened." I smiled at her and she looked me in the eyes while she was trying to calm down all the disgusting snot.

"He, he tried to, tried to ra..." But then Luciel bolted over here and I saw he was about to hit Sasha...

I turned my body and then I felt something burn my back. I then crouched down and saw that Sasha had a worried expression. And then everything became black...
