In the morning, the group was invited to join King Adonis and his sons for breakfast. There was a set up for six extra places but a seventh member showed up. "And who is this, Miss Kavira?" The King felt a little nervous, he hadn't realized that she had brought another person along and only ordered a meal for nine.
"This is my brother, Lucas. You wouldn't mind if he joins us, right?" Kavira was assuming that it wouldn't be a problem so she brought Lucas along. "Not a problem, let me just have my butler inform the kitchen staff about a tenth member and I'll have a placement mat brought out."
King Adonis informed his butler to do as he had said. Breakfast was greatly enjoyed, the atmosphere was a lot more lively and they were waiting on dessert. "Kavira," Prince Adam had spoken up, he was the last person that she wanted to hear anything from especially in front of Linx but alas, he didn't hold back. "If you don't mind me asking, why won't you marry me? I'm rich, handsome, royal, smart and a pretty damn good warrior, am I not suitable to meet your needs?"
Linx's beautiful deep blue eyes sent a chilling atmosphere throughout the whole room. Clain wasn't all to happy to hear Prince Adam's words either but he had no right to be as upset as Linx looked. Linx was about to cause a scene when Kavira put a hand over his on top of the table, in front of everyone. "It's not that you're unsuitable for me, it's that you're not for me." She declared her relationship with a simple gesture, even her brother was amazed to see that his sister had a boyfriend.
Prince Adam's expression grew sour, the King warned him last night that something like this would happen but he wouldn't listen. Prince Jacob was amused by the events that had just unfolded but he wasn't convinced of them either. Kavira might be with this Linx fellow but she had a much stronger connection with Clain, it was something he had been made aware of last night.
At noon, the group was standing outside a secret door that was deep into the castle's secret passages. King Adonis had escorted them there personally but would not be entering with them, he would wait outside until they were ready to be guided back into the castle's main halls.
One by one the group filled the room, it was much bigger than Kavira had expected having been hidden in such small passages. It was filled with inventions and tinker toys along with a few other magical items. The crystal wasn't hard to find, it stood at the center of the room on a small round table.
"You are finally here." The crystal's voice could be heard around the room but no face ever appeared around or on the crystal. "I have waited a very long time to see you Kavira. My creator made me for the soul purpose of one day giving you a prophecy he didn't give you before."
Kavira was at the front of the group with a calm expression, her silence spoke volumes in her focus. "The dead army will rise, one of you will die at the hand of the cursed soul, one of you will be lost in time forever. Then and only then, will the one who suffers the most be able to defeat the man behind the red mask."
The crystal stopped talking, he wanted to give Kavira the opportunity to ask questions he may know the answer to. "Why do I and my brother have a mark of magic and the others don't but they wield magical powers?"
The group was a little surprised to hear Kavira's question, the prophecy was pretty dark and yet she was asking about magical marks? "Very wise, the others didn't understand. I conveyed the message of the prophecy but I can't tell you anything further than what has already been said. As for your question, I believe you know the answer. Think back five years ago to when you first fought the dead army and you'll find the answer you seek."
Kavira wasn't satisfied but she asked another question. "Who kidnapped me all those years ago from my birth mother?"
"You were not kidnapped, you were transported to meet the one who gave you that pendant. The man that looks like you, isn't your brother. It was tragic but it had to be done. If you wish to regain your memories you will have to find the place where your body is buried."
"What do you mean she is not my sister? I remember her, I remember the mark." Lucas was upset, looking at both of them their features were similar and they both had magical powers.
"The body is but a vessel. Your younger sister died long ago." Lucas' body fell to the ground. He had finally found his sister and just like that, she was taken away from him.
"That is all." Kavira turned around to walk away but the talking crystal had a few words left to say. "There is a great threat that follows you with a golden cane, the fawn knows what I speak of. Be careful."
DAMN!!!! And just like that, a happy story is turned sad once again LOL hope you enjoyed it ?
