The next day Kavira arrived at the front of the Fei house right on the same time as training. She wore red robes covered in golden embroidery, she went against her better judgment on wearing a tunic because she felt like she never had the chance to wear it before and this occasion felt like a good opportunity. She decided on simply letting her hair down, although she was wearing fine clothing she didn't want to give Linx the wrong impression by putting to much attention to her looks.
Linx opened the front door of his house, his awe expression saying all it needed to. He wore casual pants dyed black and a vest made of a shimmering fabric but much less delicate than silk. Kavira felt he was a little under dressed but she wasn't about to speak on something when it was not her place.
"You look beautiful." Kavira felt her cheeks burn up, she had never experienced such a feeling before and was a little loss for words. She cleared her throat, wondering if something else might be wrong with her. "Thank you."
They walked over to the market taking a look at the stands. They rejected some merchants from trying to parade any fine jewelry or presenting their high ended robes/tunics. "I think they think we are a couple. They keep trying to show me rings." Linx laughed, happily watching Kavira's cheeks blush.
"Would you like some marinated vegetables?" These steamed veggies caught Kavira's attention the first time she had seen the market but she wasn't sure what they were so when Linx agreed she skipped on over to the vegetable stand and ordered two plates.
Once they were done eating they walked through the city, Linx following Kavira's lead of course. "So why did you decide to go on a date with me?" Linx felt presumptuous in assuming she liked him but he wanted to hear it said out from her beautiful lips.
"I noticed that you had been out of focus recently with Nyla being gone so I just wanted to cheer you up." Linx's heart sank a little, this girl was so thoughtful but she didn't even realize that he was sad because he never had any alone time with her.
"Oh. Well thank you. That's very thoughtful." Kavira smiled and continued to walk. There conversation consisted of Kavira listening to stories about Linx's childhood and what it was like before he was adopted into the Fei family, how Nyla and him were rivals but they understood each other so well that they bonded.
Kavira was fascinated by his tales, she would often catch herself ogling at Linx and his handsome features. She wasn't oblivious to his charms but she also caught many women gazing lovingly towards the man she was walking with. She saw many death stars and looks of jealousy as well from women watching her walk with a man that didn't date anyone.
"You're quite the popular person, aren't you?" Kavira wasn't jealous but she didn't just want them to come into an awkward silence that she tended to have often with Clain because he wasn't an open person. This felt like something he would be open about. Linx was pleasantly surprised that she was interested in him as a person and not just because he was the adopted son of the Fei house.
"Well, when you're this handsome you can't help but be noticed." Kavira laughed, to her it seemed unbelievable for one person to have such an ego but she understood it. She was prideful, not knowing how she became that way but it was a natural reaction to her and his, was his confidence.
"You are.. somewhat handsome." Kavira and Linx spent time teasing each other until it was near sunset. "Come. I want to show you something." Kavira ran off past the Grand Gates, happily walking past the guards that were star stuck by the girls beauty and kindness.
By the time Linx caught up to Kavira she had halted at mid mountain looking down at a sequence of flowers. "These are beautiful but it's getting dark out. I'll take you out for dinner and then take you to the Generals house."
Kavira put her index finger on her lips gesturing Linx to keep quiet. She lowered her finger to touch the flower and it instantly glowed, she then skipped to the next and lit that one up. Linx followed her until ever flower was lit up, this would've fascinated him if he wasn't so preoccupied trying to just be around her. Something about her made him feel like he was in the right place, he may just be too unworthy of her. Unlike him, Clain was a role model and if she were to be with anyone it would be him.
"This is incredible. Your magic can do this?" Kavira nodded continuing to pull the flowers up with there roots to float around in the air. It was a wonderful sight to see as they created pictures of animals, trees and in the end it showed a picture of them holding hands.
Awwwwwwwwwwe! Did the flowers have a mind of their own?
