章 49: *Title At The End* - Day Six
Eyes fluttering open Tian Long finds himself in a room which only has a bed and drawers that he assumed had some clothes in it. Getting up he realised that he actually felt warm instead of cold considering that the room that he was in was only made of wood which should have frozen over if he was in the area he was in when he collapsed. Tian Long also realised that he still had on the clothes that materialised along with his human transormation.
Warily looking around as he walked to the door that lead out of the room.
The door creaked as he pushed it open, at first Tian Long jumped a little as he was on guard while being in unfamiliar territory. What makes it worse is that the person that had taken him from where he collapsed had to be stronger than him by a large margin, at least in human form that is. However even in his beast form Tian Long would still be slightly weaker than his savior? Captor? Which one it is will be decided when he meets the person that found him.
Breathing in and out Tian Long recollects himself and then proceeds to leave the room into a corridor that had another three doors which he assumed were other bedrooms and maybe a bathroom.
Making his way down the hall Tian Long's heart was beating faster and faster as he passed further and his tensions were high strung every time he passed a door in case somone suddenly came out. Trying to calm himself before he makes his way out from the hall Tian Long breathes in an dout once again.
Before he was about to reveal himself he heard some voices discussing between themselves.
"I wonder when that boy I found will wake up" A deep and gravelly voice spoke out as he rhetorically asked the other person that was with them.
In reply a melodious sounding voice replied back, "I don't know but from what I observed he should be up soon"
"What do you think would push a boy so weak to travel this far in?" This time the deep and gravelly voice asked for the others opinion on what they think Tian Long was doing this far into the forbidden region.
"Again, I do not know but I do have my conjections" The melodious voice once again sounded out in reply "One of my conjections is that he was running from others that were so powerful that he had next to no choice but to run here or another is that like many others before him he is after the soul cleansing lotus that grows at the top of the mountains."
Listening in to the conversation he begins to calm down and then walked out showing himself to them. When he looked at the people in front of him he saw a gruff looking man that was sitting down at a dining table eating some food. The man had stubble of a moustache and beard, he also had thick eyebrows and piercing blue eyes and if the man was to stand he would be at a height of six foot four inches. He was wearing robes that were white in colour whilst also wearing a pair of white shoes that went along with it.
Next to the man was a woman that was stunningly beautiful however because of his constant exposure to Sarah Tian Long was unfazed which surprised both the woman and man as they both knew that she was very good looking. The woman also had a large bump at her stomach area showing that she was pregnant at the moment, on the outside it appeared that she was about five months in to preganancy but with the way the world is he wouldn't be surprised even if the woman said that she had been carrying the baby for four years as the more powerful the parents the longer it takes for the fetus to form and be birthed.
The longest it has ever taken for a human child to be born, that humans still have records of, is about one hundred and fifty years.The heavens are fair as the more powerful someone is the harder it is to procreate which is why when any powerhouse becomes pregnant the fiercer they become when protecting their child as it could take hundreds of years before they fell pregnant once again. In fact for all they knew the woman could never fall pregnant again, pregnancy is also very rare between powerhouses as there are many factors that could stop birth.
Factors such as:
The arts they practice could cause them to become infertile.
Injuries from previous fights could have also make it harder for them to get pregnant or infertile all together.
From what humans have gathered from the years they have concluded what the fertility rates are for people up to the end of Rank 4. They used to have information about birth rates further ahead but that data was lost back at the end of the dark ages hundreds of years ago when all the families waged war with the beasts. Luckily though the fertility of beasts at the same strength is half of their human counterpart purely because beasts carry bloodline abilities and information carried on.
Humans, to achieve this feat have to break through to the divine levels of power from what they know from the information they dug out from the ruins of the dark ages. Even today humans are still finding new information from the dark ages as they are constantly looking for any ruins. Of course there are families that have their own ruins that have their own information that they have monopoly over which is why those families are stronger as they have techniques from the dark ages that were used against the beasts.
The woman was wearing a purple robe that loosely clung to her figure as she was wearing a robe bigger than her small figure so she doesn't constrict her stomach.
What shocked the woman more was that she felt a small resonance with Tian Long and felt the urge to follow him. Tian Long also felt this conncetion and instantly became weary as he knew what this connection meant.
"So what is a dragon from the divine realm doing here?" Tian Long icily questioned the pair.
Astonished the man stood up and released his killing intent as he sternly gazed at Tian Long. The woman was even ore shocked as she knew that the connection was not one way and that he could aso feel the connection, she was too preoccupied to realise tensions were rising between her husband and Tian Long as she was trying to figure out what the conncetion meant as she didn't think that someone of Tian Long's standing in the dragon community would be down in the mortal realm.
"I'd be careful who you are aiming your killing intent to as Icould self destruct before you could kill me. I know you both would survive, but what about the baby currently in her stomach?" Tian Long coldly stated as although he wouldn't actually end the life of an infant he can use its life for a bargaining chip.
"You" The man fiercely growled as he was about to release a stronger killing intent however to bloat which was a sign of self destruction.
Seeing this the man instantly sobered up and sat back down grumbling about Tian Long being unfair in targeting an unborn child. After the man had growled the woman had broken out of her thoughts just to see Tian Long returning back to normal from bloating. Knowing what Tian Long was threatening to do she was worried about the baby however she had some sort of instinctive faith that he wouldn't do that.
"So, want to tell me what you are doing down here in the mortal realm?" Tian Long once again asked with a more neutral tone.
"We were banished from the divine realm as I fell pregnant with another mans child (she subtly looked towards her husband), I originally was meant to be in an arranged marriage with another clans young master however I loved another (Again she subtly looked at her husband)." The woman answered again.
After more talking he got to find out their story and they found out his story and his purpose here, Tian Long also learned their names. The man was named Da Jiang and the woman was named (Formerly) He Lu, but after marrying her husband she became Da Lu. Tian Long also learned that Da Lu was an ice dragon which was why they had chosen the northern forbidden zone as their home
Finished with their chat the woman and man felt closer to Tian Long as he was not only a dragon but also had the blood of their ancestor flowing through his veins. The man although not a dragon was just as close as he heard about Sarah's predicament and thoguht of what he would have done in Tian Long's position. Da Lu had cried after she heard about Sarah as she could feel Tian Long's sorrow nd urgency when speaking about the topic. By the time they were finished a lot of time had already passed and it was late evening. Before heading back to the room he was in when he woke up he had dinner with them and bade them a goodnight.
