章 690: Morning Reunion

Night passed at a snail's pace, for Oli especially.

A bath helped him relax. As did a midnight snack. But that wouldn't speed up the time he spent with his consciousness inside the soul jade. 

With his body stationary and his mind isolated, Oli maximized his mental training. The soul jade couldn't help Oli with physical training or body strengthening. However, what Oli wanted most at that moment was time.

Time to feel out his essence on a micro level. 

Time to experiment with his battle arts as extensions of his senses. 

Time to get truly comfortable with his fully-evolved death essence and his new essence nature. 

Time… was what Oli needed. And it's what Oli sorely lacked. 

… knock… knock…

… Knock, knock, knock…

"YO! Oli-ver! … Get up! We gotta go!"

Oli's eyes shot open wide as his mind raced out of the soul jade and back into the present reality. 

"I'm coming! Give me just a second!"
