Calling the size of the One-Eyed-Black-Dragon massive would be an understatement.
The strongest of the three great calamity.
Was giant enough to make the sky look small.
As far as the eye could see, black.
All of it covered in pitch black.
From a single move of it's hand tsunamis were created, with a single flap of it's wings world ending tornadoes were birthed.
A living, walking natural disaster.
It cannot be left unattended.
In a fraction of a second, William's mind made the decision.
Need to defeat it as fast as possible.
While the beast was waking up from its sleep.
Kill it with most powerful strike.
Running along its massive body, avoiding waves of water which blocked his path, with supersonic speed, William jumped from the black surface aiming straight for the closed eye which was quickly emerging from the ocean.
With his trusted skill, he raised his weapon and slashed down.
Skill *[Sword Emperor](SS)* is taking effect.
No unnecessary words were required as time was of the essence.
The same powerful attack carrying his everything.
An attack which was the very manifestation of his hard work.
Was.......caught?
William's crystal clear eyes hidden inside the black armour couldn't help but trembled a little when he saw the scene infront of his eyes.
The attack which was suppose to strike the eye, was caught by the black dragon's claw.
Though it was not without consequences.
A bloody wound opened up on the black dragon's claw, making pitch black blood flow out.
'It didn't cut off the hand? just a wound?', William thought.
It seemed that even William was mistaken about something.
Having defeated Root, the myriad colour in the previous world, William thought that this fight would be similar.
But he overlooked an important factor.
The previous world only had a single god.
But Danmachi has several of them, even then they were helpless against this monster which roamed the world.
The current enemy was stronger than Root.
And that his current body was that of a human, not a Demi God like Grant.
If he was the peak of humans.
Then the One-Eyed-Black-Dragon was the peak of monsters.
The massive eye of the sleeping dragon opened up, revealing a vertical pupil staring straight at him as conveying a message.
From one emperor to another.
*Roaaaarrr*
The Black dragon raised his other claw and sent it straight towards William, it's speed might be slow, but it's humongous size was more than enough to compensate for it.
But seeing the pitch black claw falling down on him didn't faze William.
"In the end....."
He said while holding the sword Leviathan close of him.
"It's just going to take a little longer."
And pierced straight into the claw, making a hole which passed straight through the claw, allowing him to avoid the attack in his own way.
Do not think that William's small size was a disadvantage.
Through the hole he created, William appeared on the back side of OEBD's claw, then he dug his blade covered in emperor sword energy straight inside the claw and started running forward creating a straight wound in his path.
*Roaaarrr*
The Black Dragon couldn't help but scream out even though the attack was miniscule compared to his massive physique.
The reason was simple.
Although small, William's attack was covered in emperor sword energy.
It wasn't something he was allowed to ignore.
One-Eyed-Black-Dragon waved his claw around, trying to throw off William, unfortunately it was futile, with it's massive size it was impossible for OEBD to get William off.
As if understanding it's situation, the black dragon pulled out it's massive wings from the ocean and started flapping them, creating terrible air currents.
*Roaarr*
Within moments the massive think took off from the ocean, fully revealing his immemorial body in all it's glory.
But it wasn't enough.
Because the enemy was still stubbornly making wounds all over its body.
The One-Eyed-Black-Dragon flew high up in the sky, trying to get William off by using the air pressure.
But to it's dilemma, this enemy was too stubborn and durable.
*Roooarr*
It could only scream to somewhat relieve it's rage.
As the amount of pain which kept assaulting it's body increased, OEBD's only working pupil turned blood red in rage.
Diving straight down, the monster went straight inside the sea, going deeper and deeper, but the pain just kept increasing!
OEBD opened his mouth and cried out, sending massive sound waves across the water, killing all fishes in a 500 kilometre radius.
Knowing that it's plan was not working, the black dragon got out from the ocean and went for the skies once again.
By now it had run out of ideas to get rid of the ant.
A monster being able to think was already a blessing, but now little by little rage was starting to cloud it's judgement.
It was starting to loose it's reason, starting to return to it's most basic instinct.
Which was to kill humans at any cost.
And so it raised its head, preparing for it's most powerful attack.
On the other hand.
William who was continuously creating wounds all over OEBD's body, stopped feeling it's unnatural movement.
Before he could react, a pure white flame, concentrates to the extreme, taking a form of pure destruction was fired from the dragon's mouth.
The problem was.
The attack was fired indiscriminately.
It wasn't aimed at anything or anyone.
As if it's instinct was to seek destruction.
Because of its randomness.
And a disgusting twist of fate.
The attack was reaching for a familiar boat in the distance.
Without a hint of hesitation.
While the Black dragon was consumed by it's rage.
William jumped off the Black dragon, propelling his body at an indescribable speed using his sword attack, breaking his bones in the process, William managed to reach the boat before the attack.
Then under the screaming sounds of his familiar members, William raised Leviathan, clashing head on with One-Eyed-Black-Dragon's breath attack.
Fortunately.
His sword was strong enough to deflect the attack.
Unfortunately.
Now he was in open sight for the dragon to attack.
And his enemy wasn't kind enough to let this opportunity slip by.
The One-Eyed-Black-Dragon, seeing his detestable enemy.
Fired his second breath attack.
Perhaps maybe because the first attack was fired randomly that it's power was not strong enough?
Because the second attack.
Was atleast ten times stronger than the previous one.
One-Eyed-Black-Dragon wasn't stupid.
Having experienced William's attacks first hand, it knew better than anyone to not go easy on such an enemy.
That is why, using all of its power, it fired the second attack to completely decimate his enemy.
Seeing the concentrated beam of heat rushing towards them, William knew.
It was not something he would be able to deflect.
His current body's limitation stopped him from doing so.
Perhaps if he was lvl8 maybe lvl9? No even then it wouldn't work.
Thus his mind came with the most logical approach.
Jump away, with his sword energy, it would be possible for him to completely avoid the attack.
But......
From the corners of his eye, William saw his familia.
They were behind him.
Trying to reach out to him.
Seeing them a thought came to William's mind.
'I shouldn't have brought them along.'
He should have come alone.
How surprising, he who was suppose to be indifferent seems to be experiencing retreat?
Looks like his skill was becoming more and more useless.
But now was not the time for that.
With flowing movement, William brought down his sword.
There was no hesitation in his eyes.
Though this time, his target wasn't the beam of light approaching them.
With a turn, William changed the course of his word and sliced it back towards the familia member.
My sword will cut what I want it to cut.
A powerful yet gentle sword energy enveloped them.
Suprisingly in this slowly moving world, William couldn't help but pay attention to one person.
'Haruhime.'
How could he not pay attention to her when she was literally right in front of her face?
It seemed she was able to overcome her fear of the black dragon at the last moment and move her body.
'But Haruhime.....'
He saw her desperate hands trying their best to reach out to him.
'Why did you not jump away and instead rushed straight into danger?....'
With her strength, she would have barely managed to avoid it.
He wondered why she rushed straight for him instead of saving her life.
If only she did, he would have been able to send her away with the rest using his sword energy.
How was he to know that she would suddenly change her position and come so close to him, avoiding the sword energy which was meant to carry her away.
'What were you even trying to accomplish by rushing to me?'
William felt the intense heat burn his back.
'It's not like you would have been able to save me with you're strength.'
He raised his right hand and grabbed her, instantly pulling her close to him.
In close proximity, he saw her tearful eyes staring straight at him, he could see a deep hidden stubbornness inside them, refusing to let him go.
"A troublemaker you are.", William muttered in her ears, before turning around and facing the breath attack.
With one hand holding Haruhime, his other one met the attack head on with Leviathan.
At first it was bearable, William was able to hold on.
But as time passed.
One-Eyed-Black-Dragon's attack showed no sign of stopping.
The massive beast's stamina was incomparable to his.
On the other hand.......
Cracks started forming in Leviathan's dark blue blade.
The weapon forged in poison was crying out to him.
He could feel it.
The weapon wasn't asking to save itself, but for him to be saved.
"Haruhime"
William said without looking back.
"I will create an opening."
In this endless rain of energy, he will make a small path.
"At that time, make sure to jump out."
A sizzling sound started coming out from the hand holding Leviathan.
Since he wasn't able to look back, William didn't know whether she agreed or not.
But feeling her movement inside his embrace, he took it as a sign of acceptance.
"Get ready."
A blinding light appeared in William's eyes.
Suddenly Leviathan broke down releasing a dense sword energy which cut straight through the black dragons's attack, crafting a gap.
"Now."
Before William could react.
A force suddenly pushed him away, towards the gap which he created.
From the corners of his eye, he saw Haruhime who should have jumped away, staring at him with a crying yet accomplished face?
Perhaps feeling satisfied because she was able to save him?
Unfortunately for her....
William expected her behaviour.
Before her accomplished face could turn to one of surprise, William grabbed her tail and used his body's momentum to flung her towards the gap.
At the last moment William saw Haruhime's face turn to one filled with terror, and her hand desperately trying to reach out to him.
Haruhime, troublesome indeed.
Then the dragon's breath swallowed William.
