章 46: Fu Yan is willing!!

Fu Yan slumped in the plush chair, his usually sharp eyes dulled as they drifted across the scenery outside the large glass windows. His hands rested limply in his lap, fingers occasionally tapped rhythmically. 

Across from him, Austin sat with his legs crossed, his attention split between the screen of his phone and the unusual silence of his friend. He glanced at Fu Yan repeatedly, his brow furrowing each time. It wasn't like Fu Yan to be so quiet so in a daze. Since last night, something had clearly been on his mind, but Fu Yan had remained tight-lipped, leaving Austin in the dark. 

Curiosity mixed with concern dominated its way into Austin's mind. He knew Fu Yan's moods well, too well, in fact, but this was different. 

This wasn't the cold, calculated distance that Fu Yan sometimes showed; this was something more vulnerable. The thought crossed his mind that maybe, just maybe, Fu Yan had been rejected.
