They saw a giant seaserpent gulping a killer whale, and left him unbothered, sneaking aloft, just to stay safe, above the cloud level, which gave them good cover.
„I wouldn't like to ever be insisted to fight such thing." Vile said fearsomly.
„You wouldn't even be a fair snack for it tho, so I don't think he'd even bother to eat you, luckily for yourself." Sil pointed. Few moments later the continent showed above horizont in great distance ahead.
„I don't want to go straight to capital, better to stick to the mercenary work before we got some coin."
„Agreed." Vile nodded.
They decided to make a camp, same way as the last time, as the weather was unchanged. In the fire's glow, they chatted cheerfully, also discussing more serious matters, like the nature of their enemies – the gods.
„You should know, that every ethereal fears losing his husk more than people's desire to stay alive due to the nature of their binding to the body." Vile started explaining; „They grow fond of it, gaining senses similar to our own, and identify with their husk's look, or properties. To destroy a god's body is worse to him, than taking his very being, which usually happens as they suicide, sort of – they usually destroy their self-counsciousness after husk's destroyed." She continued.
Kil was gazing curiously, as Sil translated the matter via mindmerge, which comes very handy at those situations.
The night was colder than expected, so our company was chilled in the morning, which luckily warmed them with both suns shine simultainusly – one green and the other red, much warmer.
„Do you think the god that cursed me will want to take a revenge?" Sil asked with his bowels colder than ever.
„He is not a danger anymore, he's killed himself." Vile confirmed looking into the panteon a short peek.
„You can say what's going on the god's banquet?!?" Sil shouted amazed.
„I'm half one of them you know…" Vile pointed a little ashamed.
They broke the camp after warming up in the fire's heat, and rays of twin suns. As usual Kil had rised majestic and slowly into the heights of sky. Rupturing the clouds team headed to the nearest village hoping it would have a problem to solve.
Unsuprisingly there was no task directions, and no one knew of any straits nearby, but that wasn't all lost time as they overheard a gossip about a bandit pack which were sentenced to death, and got a bounty on their heads.
Camp was somewhere South East East, so Kil flied that way, til reached an another settlement, which was frequently robbed by those brigands.
The chief could not believe someone was going to solve their problem and promised to make a feast when they returned with heads of criminals.
A cosy room was given them for all night, so could they be well rested up to incoming battle.
After a rich breakfast team swiftly departed heading to the bandit's encampment, which was hard to miss, as the wildlife damage grew horrifingly bigger by every Staj they travelled.
Both agreed to attack from aloft, Kil serving as a support for reatreat and movement, aside from a fearsome bloodshedding mashine. The morale was nigh maximal as certainity of victory was clearer by every moment, as they saw the poorly equipped men, dirty and simple.
Sil decided to make an act of his might to break the spirits of foes.
Jumped out Kil's back, then higtened his weight to around 2000 Haka, then reinforced his body to survive the impact with his mana. After a loud crash he stood out from the huge crater, and said joyfully:
„Surrender, and you get a fast and painless death, try to resist, and I'll have some fun!"
Then battle begun.
Let me know in comment, if you prefer longer, rarer chapters, ore like they are.
I also plan to make them huge from chap. 50.
