章 19: 16. To Hell...

As Geode was slowly recovering, the four decided to leave as soon as he gets up, and departure swiftly afterwards. After popping in the middle of Tanzstein out of nowhere, providing some commotion of the croud, they found the guard's leader and ordered him to make preparations for leave. The journey back was distracted only by an earthquake, as the Drought moved beneath the desert.

But there was a certain sort of welcome waiting for their return; prince stood in the middle of a group composed by rogues, the same as those who captured the company month ago. Kil was nowhere to be seen, but Sil felt her high in the skies, as she watched them from above. The prince shouted cunningly.

"I myself sent these rumors of riot, to provide some time…" But didn't finish as the bloodshed begun.

Although they got a nulimage with them, so attempts of mana use were interrupted. But not all as Vile's example shown. She wielded a long polearm, as defending the royalty. The problem was the sheer number of foes, and their skill in the art of war. All used other weapon, but cooperated with brutal effectiveness, so soon one of them sneaked behind queens back, and delivered a throat slit, then returned into shadows.

When king noticed his wife lying on the ground in a bloodpool, he lost his mind and launched into battle with bare fists. As Vile tried to stop him, a spearhead pierced out of her chest.

'Sil run! I'll manage to get out of here, but we must part ways for some time.'

'Farewell… my love.' Sil confessed.

Soon their ways got apart for some time, and those were dark days for all three, but let's get back to the battle.

As three more blades got in She's body, only one option was left – death. Vile let the darkness embrace her, as descending into the mortum realm. With no light nor mana, all that left was to seek your way through with deafened senses left. She knew that she'll make it out, or at least believed in that, right before the Death stood beside her. It clothed in every being that passed off, sometimes took robes of people, but mostly other beings.

'I see you still got life inside, I'll wait til every spark passes, fight is meaningless here…' Then it disappeared, but all of sudden some light was to be seen far behind. Vile ran into the darkness, to avoid getting close, singing:

Living like the light,

as it's cloaked blight.

I'll find my own spark in darkness,

as I walk here far from the brightness.

Kil was flying nearly starving to death, as many days passed since she got anything, still seeking her master. But soon hunger took lead. She descended into the forest and hunted til having enough. She didn't feel Vile and knew that could mean only one thing: death. Angry of being unable to avoid the toll of freedom, she decided to grow strong enough to protect everyone she loved.

Sil was far away, but his presence was like sunlight after long rain to this Hilfi. As suns were at dusk, she slowly walked into a cave to let her wings, and wit get some rest.

Sil had no tears to spare left, as sneaking out of the capital under the cloak of night. Vile was not to be felt anywhere, and the boy feared the worst. But something was wrong, he had to figure what yet. As being helpless, he made a decision to ask Geode's help.

'Geode, I'm in need!' Sil asked.

Next moment he appeared right next to angry god.

"You let her die, didn't you?" He pointed with stone cold voice.

"Now we have a problem…" Added.
