章 8: The Phoenix city
After 5 days of journey leo finally reached the zephyrblade empire after entering into the empire he saw a lot of things street shops ,food shops, weapon shops etc there was lot of people
After enquiring about the way to pheonix city he went on to move towards an inn
At the entrance it was written velmore inn
Leo kept his horse tied and entered the inn
He saw a few people drinking booze and singing while some crying about how their life
Leo went straight and old man with white hair slicked back he was kinda average build stood about 5'7
"I want a room and a place to keep my horse" leo spoke
The old man looked at leo and asked " young man are you travelling alone ?"
" Yes " replied leo
The old man was intrigued but didn't enquire any further and said " 10 silver coins for a room and a place for your horse "
Leo placed a sack of coins on the table
The old man took the sack and looked into it and nodded .Took out a key and gave it to leo "your room number is 103"
Leo took the and went to his room
Took a nap and woke up at night ate his dinner went into the empty ground beside the inn
He started swinging his sword for 30 minutes and stopped sat crossed leg and started absorbing mana from surrounding he intentionally absorbed at a slower rate in order to not alert anyone
During the past 5 years he trained really hard and reached the initial stage of master rank everyday since the time he entered into master rank he is having a feeling that there is something within him yet he doesn't know what it is
Has he was absorbing mana suddenly he felt his heart skip a beat

'Killlllll ' he is hearing some voice

"NO" "huff huff" leo Snaped out of it with ragged breathing and dishelved hair
'What was that voice why am I hearing it and why is it telling me to kill?'
He took his sword and went to his room
He splashed some water on his face and looked at mirror just for a second he
Saw himself with skeletal mask with red and black strips while the mask was covered in blood .
Leo staggered backwards and fell on the floor he put his trembling hand on his face and tried to feel if the mask was there
"Thank god what in the hell was that ?"
Leo stood up and looked into mirror once again but this it was totally normal reflection of himself
" something is going with me i have to find out what it is as soon as possible "
Pushing his thoughts on back of mind
He came out of inn and took a stroll on the road during night this place bustling with even more people and there was also fancy lighting making it even more beautiful
He saw kids playing around and couples going hand in hand together
He even saw a bunch of old man hitting some old ladies who seem their wife's
Leo smiled at how everything was so peaceful
He seem to see family of 3 the kid whining about getting the toy and the mom saying no while the dad had already bought the toy
The kid so happy that he started running around with the toy it was toy of a knight with a sword in hand
Leo seem to remember the night before the Tragedy happened
He clenched his first hard " i swear that i will destroy and make each and everyone in the crimson syndicate pay for what they did "
The crimson syndicate organisation that attacked his parents on that night after which they went missing he will get revenge against the man who killed aira
All these thoughts made him loose the way he came from he asked a few people and went back inn into his room and took a shower and went to sleep
Next day he woke up took a shower again and took his horse hopped on it and continued his journey towards phoenix City
As Leo continued on his horse he saw chariot being escortted by a bunch knights
Leo without saying anything just followed them as he followed them for 3 days he seem to reach the phoenix City
The entrance of the city has a grand phoenix statue sculptaded on both sides of the gate
And the gate was has big has 6 meters tall as they entered the gate the chariot and knights went in without any trouble
But when leo wanted to go inside the guards stopped " Halt you have to pay a tax of 2 gold coins before entering the city"
Leo paid the 2 gold coins and entered the city "Atleast the guards aren't greedy here "
Has he stepped inside the city there were tall buildings made with extremely detailed design and infrastructure
Leo sold his horse for 20 gold in the shop and asked the man where was the Astralis academy was .The man looked at leo seeing that he was a kid the man told him the direction
Leo marched on the way to the academy came to the entrance of academy on the entrance it was written in bold letters ASTRALIS the guard that stood there told leo to stop and asked his purpose
Leo gave the letter the guard read everything until he saw who wrote he was shocked gave leo a weird look and he immediately went inside to give it to the principal 5 minutes later the guard came and invited leo and took the cabin of the principal
The guard opened the door and leo entered inside and saw a man with crimson hair and beard with sharp eyes and said with a deep voice " so you are the kid Mira recommend"
