Captain straight up used Toxicon.
Finally, the last abomination let out a bloodcurdling roar before it was obliterated by a quad-beam salvo from Praxas's nouliths. The weapons returned to hover silently at his side, their work done.

I love it when people get my obscure references!
"Yeah.. sure.. and…um" Anzyl continued. "Captain, for your own validity and hope of winning this case, let me do the talking and, please take this with the greatest possible respect, but Zip Your Howling Screamer." Kayuli glared.

Sure Does. I use it when my wife has a panic attack all the time. Learned it from the show Bull. The randomness of the numbers shocks the brain as it instinctively tries to order numbers. The sudden randomness is like a hard reset for the brain. I added this as more of a PSA.
Kayuli offered a small smile of relief. "It worked. When someone's having a panic attack, reciting random numbers forces the brain to focus on them instead of spiraling thoughts. It's like a reset button for the mind." He looked at the Captain, his eyes warm. "Feel any better?"

Dr. Kayuli in his natural Tulkun form.
A massive Tulkun whale, about 10 meters (30 feet) in length, large V shaped cranial crests, 3 meter (9 feet) long flippers, and four finned tail, "Greeting's captain, I am Kayuli," the intercom translated his whale squeaks in the voice of a young man in his 20's, "My Bond Brother informed me that you were touring the ship," spoke over the intercom, "I hope he didn't embarrass you or himself. He's not the best around strangers. He may not say it out loud, but I can tell he misses our homeworld more than he leads on. I know I sure do."

Just wait and see! This arc is really growing to be my biggest arc so far! Hope you enjoy it!
Anzyl let out a long breath as the file uploaded to the subspace network. He had no way of knowing whether his message would reach Nolan or what consequences it might bring, but his instincts told him this was a risk worth taking.
