Hatching is own could be interesting, it’s still quite a few years till the dance. They are beings of magic so it wouldn’t be impossible that something accelerates a newly hatched dragons growth slightly so it’s a good size when needed. If you wanna avoid cliche but not have him hatch one there is always Grey Ghost or Sheepstealer or a OC wild dragon. Whatever you end up doing I’m sure it’ll be great!
I think the way your going with the story is great! A little bit of travel, character building, introducing some new companions/allies. Seeing him demonstrate some leadership and gather some followers would be cool. Maybe a boost to warging or greenseeing after visiting isle of faces. Crannogmen encounter would be interesting. Do you have any plans yet for which dragon/when he will claim it? Idk which direction your taking it long term but it’d be interesting to see if he takes Harwin’s place as baby daddy (since their kids would look more Targaryen).

I apologize for the lack of chapters this week; it has been a horrible week for me and has only become more complicated. I returned to the city where I study this past Sunday, and due to various reasons, I will have to find a new house and deal with all of that.
